Overall Rating
It's 14 miles of gravel to get to Dolly Varden, the first of several US Fish & Wildlife campgrounds in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge is home to the Swan Lakes Canoe Route. The campgrounds are small, and very popular when I was there in early June, 2013. Pit toilet and a non-potable water pump missing the handle. No Verizon cell service once you head north from Sterling.
