This campground is down in a valley between the mountains. Beautiful secluded spots right on the lake, VERY quiet at night, walk to many amazing hikes including the Appalachian Trail. We camped in Dec 2021 when water was shut off and bathrooms closed, so we boondocked. No electric. One pit toilet at the top of the hill in the day use area, but we preferred using our camper.
Only things to watch out for: the road going down into this valley can be steep in some spots and the road fairly tight with sharp turns. We did it ok with our 23 ft trailer Would suggest a 4x4 truck since the road is gravel, but we did fine without one. There are some potholes esp If wet.
The road is 1-way so if someone is coming the other way while you have a trailer, someone would have a hairy back up situation! Luckily we didn’t run into this issue.
Sites were plenty big once we got down there, and very easy to back into. Can’t speak to facility quality since everything was closed.
Note, we went in off season and it can get pretty “local”. We did have a brief encounter or two with a man from a disheveled van in one of the sites who was looking for water since it was shut off. He seemed harmless but we were definitely on our guard. He left after a couple days and then the park was basically empty, minus some kayakers and a couple campers on Christmas Day.
We would go back esp in warmer weather!

Some low hanging branches and pot holes but doable and not bad at all. Sites 3,7,9 can accommodate an RV but not too long over 26ft. The turns to get in are super narrow and I don’t know how a longer rig would do. Seasonal water spigots, lake to fish in, fire ring with grate, bathrooms, beautiful fall colors. Bear activity, trash service with bear proof cans, picnic tables. Service along the road in and at the top but not at the sites. Love this spot, happy to know it can accommodate our 26ft motorhome safely.

Great little campground with 11 sites. 3 sites look big enough to put a smaller camper on. There is water on the sites no electricity. There are clean restrooms but no bath house. The road into the campground is gravel and twisty. The lake is very peaceful and is stocked with trout. This lake boarders the Appalachian trail.
