Ditch Creek Campground

Very nice, clean and well taken care of campground. The sites have been updated with wood sides and filled with gravel. They are near flat with only minor leveling. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. There is water at the campground in the form of a hand pump. We filled a 20 gallon cooler with 2 of us turning the handle for about 10 minutes. Ditch Creek follows the west side of the area and is a very nice little creek with brook trout swimming around. The area is right in the middle of hundreds of miles of ATV trails. Some of them are 64" trails. I would visit again.

I found a campground away from the crowds in the Black Hills. Locate less than 35 minutes / 22 mills from Hill City, SD. The last 4.5 miles is a well maintained dirt road. Very quite with the exception of the passing ATVs. Tthe adjoining forest roads give lots to expore by vehicle, ATV, bike, or by foot. A stream runs along the back of the campsites, providing a soothing background. All but three sites have great solar exposure till mid afternoon follwed by shade. Hang crank well pump, pit toilet, no power, campground host. Senior discount cuts fee in half. newly installed $2 fee per day for pets.
