It sounds like there's a lot of shade, so solar recharging might be spotty. Are there generator hours?

Some bathrooms didn't have soap. Some sinks didn't work. Definitely need some TLC.
I was surprised to see about 6 campfires in my loop despite numerous signs saying no campfires due to high fire danger including a sign in our fire pit.
T-Mobile coverage came and went. When it was available there was enough service to text.

Diamond Lake is beautiful, and G008 is up a hill and across the loop road from the lake with a great view of Mt Bailey. The sites are spread out and lots of trees so seems secluded. In late June it was maybe 25% occupied so lots of space. Site is up a short paved hill to a level paved pad, small but plenty of room for our 15’ Aliner. Quiz access to Crater Lake NP and terrific loop road drive. Good burgers at Diamond Lake Resort (a bit worn, but charming) just a short drive.
The tarnish: the contractor paid to service the bathrooms at Diamond lake CG didn’t, but telling the ranger at the checkin gate and emailing per the directions on the bathrooms didn’t change the godawful mess or lack of toilet tissue for our entire 3 day stay. It cost this otherwise 5-star stay a star, but we had a great stay.

Mostly reservation sites but some first come first serve. Rangers do a great job of helping you find an appropriate site. Most sites are really great with picnic table and fire rings. Some are right in the water. Absolutely gorgeous area.

Quiet and peaceful campground on a beautiful lake! We planned to stay 4 nights but the cell service wasn't strong enough to hold a video call and work beckons. (We have a Verizon mifi and wineguard through AT&T). No complaints from us as we knew it was a possibility when we booked. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. Dump station on site. Many water stations but only one RV filling station and the water pressure is low so be patient. We had site m018, if you can snag m017, do it!! Great location near Crater Lake NP and glad we were able to enjoy a peaceful weekend. Highly recommend and will return!

And it worked out! This place is huge, first of all - a bit of a rat maze. Our site was very steep so we did not want to un-hook. Our friend drove me back to the pay station (seriously put bread crumbs out so you can find your way back)... There are beautiful sites along the water's edge, sites above with lovely views - sites better suited for tents and some nice back in's for RVs. I loved walking here and it's a great place to base from if you wish to see the incredible waterfalls to the North along highway 138 - Toketee, Watson, Whitehorse and our favorite Clearwater Falls. Also good food at Diamond Lake Resort!

While this was one of the nicest campgrounds and sites we’ve stayed at, I have to give it only 3 stars. We primarily chose this place because we wanted showers and while the pressure was great (GREAT) and the water was hot, I have never seen bathrooms this gross. Trash on the floor (toilet paper all over, including in the showers, plastic cups, wrappers, soaps, etc) and lots of it, moldy shower walls, busted tiles, spiderwebs in the corners, flies everywhere, mud all over the floors. I couldn’t make out the dates on the door of cleanings, but I can attest in the four nights we were there I saw the same garbage on the floors every day as well as more each time. It was a shame.

This is a very large campground with many lake-side camp sites, perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. Nice paved bicycle path around the lake (approx. 12 miles.) A couple of nice shower houses available along with several bathrooms with running water dispersed throughout the campground. Fresh potable water and gray-water dumps are scattered throughout the campground and a single black-water dump station is located near the exit of the campground. One end of the lake hosts a lodge with restaurant, rooms and cabins for rent. A fairly well stocked store nearby. Many kinds of watercraft available for rent here also. At the other end of lake/campground is a pizza/burger/ice cream joint (operated by the lodge concession.)

The campground is at an elevation of 5180 ft. Access to the campground was right off hwy 138, which is a few miles from the north entrance to Crater Lake. Our 28 ft travel trailer easily fit with room to spare in our site.
Once we enter the campground, the asphalt pavement surrounds the campsites as we drove directly to our campsite, each campsite pad also asphalt. Weather was sunny upper 80's, the nights low 40's.
This is a very quite campground, there was no noise from main road entering the campground. Activities we enjoyed at the campground to keep busy was hiking and moutain biking. The restroom was a couple spaced down from our campsite. The free showers were also easy to find and had great water pressure. The lake is very nice, smooth water and a few mosquitos, but not that bad.
My wife and I enjoyed the campground, we will stay again next time we travel to Crater Lake, Oregon.

Very quiet location. Used Interagency discount for 1/2 price rate. Had Crater Lake NP on our visit list and used this opportunity to visit. Used Recreation dot GOV website to reserve and it worked OK. Our 30 foot trailer fit fine, side to side level was perfect but had a little difficulty getting level from front to back. Sites tend to be steep. One visit to the restrooms and they were not clean. Site had a tag with our reservation dates on arrival and never did speak with any of the rangers. Bugs were very heavy but talked to another camper here who said later in the season they're no issue. Like most things timing matters.
