Area driving in is very nice. Campsites are NOT gravel but rather dirt. If it rains, it will be a terrible muddy spot. I can not say the sites are not laid out well. We are staying one night on site 55. We would avoid this location in future.

We arrived to the park after rain. All the roads and sites were flooded. We have to drive 2 mph due to potholes. Many long term residents but also seasonal.

I had made reservations but I was not going to be there until after 5 (when the office closes). They did not have my reservation outside hanging on the wall. Needed to call the after hours number. The guy on the phone told me to go down the Do Not Enter to get to my site. I drove so I could enter it the right way. While I was driving to my site #108 the guy on the phone showed up and told me I should have gone the wrong way like I was told to…but stated to me “you know best”. I was surprised I was scolded for following the signs.
I did not enjoy my stay here. I really felt like I was staying in a trailer park. Most of the park seems to be full time. These are not people here for an enjoyable weekend or a vacation. The park seemed unorganized and we got to listen to the local campers argue. Our site had mud(hasn’t rained in over a week), I asked for a different site and the lady in the office said that she could bring me an extra mat that she used when her site floods. I declined and just decided to stay where I was.
Lots of site available for the weekend that would have made the stay way more enjoyable. Those were not offered.
I will not be staying there again.
Unless you like camping in the local trailer park don’t waste your money.

Asked to leave early, told they dont give refunds. If you stay here, dont prebook, they will not refund. Night manager all attitude and cigar smoke.

After only a few hours of moderate rainfall, we arrived to a completely flooded park. Got my site number, and an employee guided us to the site. It was completely underwater. When we told him the obvious, he said, “they all are.” I suggested taking the site two spots down, same type site moderately dry, and he said “Fine, tell the office.” And drove off.
I walked back to the office to tell them. They said okay, and we set up. A different employee came back and said we couldn’t park there because it was already paid for by someone else. I said, “Well, we already paid for a spot and we’re here.” He replied that we would have to move. He showed us another flooded site. Then a site that would obviously not fit our camper. We all kind of stared at each other for a minute, then he said “Take the spot you’re at, I’ll tell the boss.”
So “the boss” came in his car immediately combative telling us we couldn’t stay there. I said, “Okay well where should we go? The spots we were shown won’t work.” He said Spot 51. I asked where it was at, he said he didn’t know because he didn’t have a map.
Once we found it, it was both too small and under water. When I pointed this out he said “Yeah, it’s raining.” I said well we already paid for a spot and it’s not flooded so we will stay there. He said “No, I’ll call a tow truck.” I said “Well give us a refund and we’ll leave.” He said “I don’t think I will give you a refund, but I will call the tow truck.” This went on for awhile until he told me to “Call God,” and I suggested “give me a refund instead.” Finally he asked if I give you a refund will you leave? And I said yes.
Moral, we got the refund. I understand having a bad day, but I don’t get to throw temper tantrums at my customer service job when things are hard. As others have said, none of the amenities are running - they all have construction tape around them. So between the abhorrent customer service, terrible sites, and no amenities, I would suggest you stay far away.

We only stayed at this KOA because we couldn’t find any available campsites at any other campgrounds in the area. We usually don’t consider KOA because they are generally too expensive for what we need them for but this KOA has water/electric sites for $30. Keep in mind you can’t choose which site number you get. This is a new KOA so they are still transitioning from an RV park and are sprucing up the campground to KOA standards. Do not expect anything glamorous. The improvements appear to be gradual. I feel like the main building would need to be renovated to truly makes themselves a proper KOA.
But as for the campground itself, the campsites are close together. The chalky gravel campsites and roads are raked everyday. They do roadside trash pickup throughout the day. I observed them come by twice a day. I think there are 7 individual shower rooms. The restrooms are attached to the main office building (like the showers). I mention that because the map we were given doesn’t indicate where the restrooms are but to be fair the office staff told us where they were. The showers and restrooms are alright. The campers make them gross but I see the staff cleaning everything on schedule around noon everyday. There’s a laundry room which is very clean. The washers are $2 and the dryers are $1 for 40 minutes. There’s a playground. A swimming area on the lake. There’s a trail that goes around the lake. The KOA has well stocked doggy poop bags and trashcans along the trail.
Oh! The camp store has ice cream, general food stuffs, fishing tackle and will accept packages.
Internet. Verizon via iPhone 12 via a weBoost signal booster (because I forgot to turn it off): 22 mbps down and 3 mbps up with 29 ms ping; T-Mobile via Nighthawk MR1100 via weBoost: 36 mbps down and 19 mbps up with 46 ms ping.

Restrooms have a broken hand dryer and no towels most of the time. Several of the showers don’t work properly and you can only turn on hot or cold water, but not a mix of both. Showers 3 and 5 are safe and functional.
On the bright side, this is a great place for families on the weekends. The slide and swim area are packed, and we spent hours out on our paddle boards on the water. The trail around the lake is also nice. But all in all, not worth it. This place needs some serious work.

Took our grand daughter here with the intentions we could play miniature golf and she could use the water slide. When we inquired about the water slide we were told it wasn’t open during the week days because they don’t have enough kids and staff there during that time frame to make it worthwhile. We also asked about playing miniature golf and was told it was closed because the wood was rotted and they didn’t want someone getting hurt on it. So those two advertised features we could not use. The outside showers all had signs on them, ‘closed’ .. there were 2 inside working showers. The outside bathroom was clean, but it only had 1 hand dryer that wasn’t working. Our last day there was a paper towel roll on the counter top. The office closed at 5:00 pm, so no walking up to the store for an after dinner ice cream. Also, we didn’t notice any after hour vending machines (opportunity for them to make some extra $?) We also thought their price for firewood was a little high $8/bundle when we’ve seen the same elsewhere for $5.00 … Visitor fee was $5.00 for each visitor. On a positive note the walk around the lake is very nice as well as fishing. Grand daughter was able to learn how to fish.

We are a 39’ rig that doesn’t turn tight and he helped accommodate on the approach to our site. They were busy grading the gravel road and sites. It was dusty. There is more grass in between sites if you get out from under the trees. We did not use the bathhouse or any other facilities. Seems to be more long term campers on the far side. Once all returned from the days work or adventures, it was quiet.
