This is a great campground if you’re interested in hiking. It’s a few miles south of the AT and Blood Mtn Trailhead. We loved the campground with the creek running through it. The sites along the creek are great. The waterfall trail on site was short but a great afternoon stroll. The only downside is the road noise. It sounds like rally racing at times. It’s fairly close to Cleveland if you need necessities. No hookups but there are water spigots, vault toilets, and a dumpster.

Not worth $20, checked the showers and bathrooms as that’s what we were mainly looking for. Disappointingly unkept.
Also, signs say must book prior to arrival ..... too much admin for a one night stop.

Road is pretty tight but sites are spacious in the woods and by the creek.
Close to a quaint town of Dahlonega and Amicalola Falls state park.
If it weren’t for rain we would have like to hike.

We stayed here in a 21 foot travel trailer. There was just enough room for our camper and truck. Paved road to site, and it was gravel. There was a picnic table and a fire ring on our site. No hook-ups. There were water spigots, but no dump station. There was a dumpster for trash. There is a bathroom, but we didn't use it, so I'm not sure if there were showers. Our site was lovely and green with access to the creek. The sites are spaced nicely. It would have been perfect except for the loud motorcycles passing by on the road above. The camp host came by to introduce herself, and she was very friendly. There are some short hiking trails easily accessible to the falls. Our AT&T coverage was very spotty. In March, it was a mild temperature there. Lots of beautiful wildflowers and not many people that time of year. The price of the site was good!

We have stayed many many weekends here over the last couple of years. The hosts are always polite and helpful. It is a dry campground but has water faucets throughout the campground. Note our cell coverage is better using a cell booster.

We spent 2 nights here the end of Aug. Weather was great, about 10 degrees cooler than the city. Few bugs but not bad! Nice trails to waterfalls. This is alongside a motorcycle route, the only reason for 3 stars. The camp host does a very good job here! If you want a fire you need to bring firewood.

Easy access from the South; however when coming from the North, a large rv should consider going by the entrance and using a turn around about a mile South of the campground entrance. Otherwise it is about a 270 degree turn into the campground.
Not much for big rigs in the lower loop, but the upper loop has 5 or 6 sites that will fit any size. We had our 33' 5th wheel in our site with plenty of room right in front for our truck too. No cell or internet service at all. We will be back to this park for sure. The US Forest Service does a great job with this one!!!
