Des Rosiers Campground

Another good national park campground with reasonably spacious and private campsites. No electric but water and sewer available in the campground.

No Rogers coverage at all in Gaspesie so my AT&T did not work either as it roams on Rogers. I can't speak for the other carriers. However, there was free wifi at the visitor centre which is a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk away. Also at the visitor centre is a small laundry (2 washers/2 dryers), excellent movie on the parc, gift shop and a small restaurant.

I took the boat tour from the visitor centre to see the point and it was fun! $87 for 2.5 hours.

Nearby attraction is the hike to Mount St Alban and the beach both located at Cap Bon Ami just south.

Everything else in the park is a short, easy drive to the south side of the penninsula where there are historic buildings and the popular 8 km hike to Lands End point.

This Canadian Park is an unsung gem of the Canadian Parks!

The landscape is exceptional with cliffs plunging into water, seals, birds, Wales... we were convenient to hikes, and Perce, where you can get close to nesting Northern Gannets & Perce rock with it’s huge eroded hole in the rock, and the hiking led to pristine views! exceptional! And there’s wildlife! We came across 2 porcupines & a moose family with 2 babies!

Within the park campground there’s laundry, dump, dish washing sinks in restrooms. Restrooms in this campground are updated & clean also included indoor tables seating. There’s a swimming pool in a recreation center, but we didn’t use, pebble beach & playgrounds. Most sites were close to level and geared toward tenters or smaller units.

Canadian cell service was great here (we had travel pass, $5/a day from Verizon).
