“Small camping area”

Mostly ATV use with a couple tables, fire ring, pit toilet and trash container. Quiet hours should be revised.
A camphost would be ideal to help keep the equipment where it belongs.

We pulled into our spot and the front of the van literally sunk in the sand - any effort to move only sunk the van deeper. We dug for hours with no success. In the morning we went to the Sand Lake (appropriate!) gas station and then called a guy with a truck. After about 30 "runs" at getting us out with a tow rope we finally got out.
There was only one other group in a mini van and they said their van started to sink in the sand but they had enough momentum to plow through.
The dunes are amazing! just don't sink:)

We went to check out this campground one Sunday in October. Although the sites near the entrance look to be gravel (as opposed to the sand sites farther down) we found this to be deceiving as they in fact were mostly sand underneath. We got extremely stuck in the sand due to some poor advice from the camp host. By the time the second (and bigger) tow truck finally pulled us out, we left for the Blue Heron Cheese Factory in Tillamook, which allows overnight RV parking.
That being said RV's should probably avoid this campsite, the forest ranger we met on the way in told us we'd be fine, but there is very little gravel in the gravel sites.
If you have 4WD and a tent this would be a really cool place to camp.
No cell service at the campground.
