I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #300, a FHU, PT site for $57/night including all the fees, taxes and a senior discount. The roads and sites were asphalt. It was easy to navigate around the park. The sites were pretty short though and if you have a larger rig and were across from a site with a really large rig parked there it might be tight to get unhitched. Many people parked their trucks in their “yards.” Since the sites are very close together it had a very crowded feeling. There is an area designated for overflow parking that I used to park my truck. This site is on the end of a row so the “front yard” was larger than most. Plus, it was on the edge of the park so there were fewer rigs close by and I could have backed out if necessary. There was a picnic table but no fire pit or grill. The bathhouse near this site was closed for repairs. The others were bright with tile and concrete. They were clean but the shower curtains in one bathhouse were barely hanging on. NOTE: GPS tried to take me to the wrong area. Follow the signs along the road. The South Inlet campground is across the bridge on the right if you are going south. I had 4 bars of 4G or 5G service, 431.3 mbps download speed, lots of OTA channels (but weather really impacted reception.) Camp hosts were really nice. There is a beach bar/restaurant within walking distance on the other side of the highway (underpass gets you there safely.) It overlooks the beach and ocean. This is not my favorite style of campground, but it is convenient to both Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach.

Biking, fishing, or just want to kick it on the beach - you got it.
Bathrooms are so-so. Showers are hot and they got tp. Avoid booking a site close to any of the facilities.
Campground is probably hit or miss depending on flat out luck.
No rules beyond check in at this time and check out at that time. Sounds great right?
Depends on what kind of camping experience you are looking for. Do you want to base camp and come back and crash in your tent or rv, not going to happen until after midnight. Even if your neighbors are respectful around you, everyone is pack in so tight that the four or five groups that are 8 people deep in a site and have music going full blast won’t let you sleep.
If you want somewhere to meet overlanding folk that are using the campsites as a rave in Moab, this might be your spot. Bring bug spray, bring a mallet to hammer stakes in (standard cheapo L aluminums are fine), bring headphones to drown out noise after 11pm.
Beach is nice, get there early and expect it to be crowded. Lifeguards on site until 5pm.

If you've read any reviews, you'll know that this campground is PACKED with campers. The sites are small, and campers are packed in tight. However, despite that, it really is a nice location for the area. The beach is so close you can bike there, or even walk if you don't have a lot to carry. You can drive to Ocean City for a night out, or go north for all the outlet shopping you can stand.
Our site was close to the outskirts of the park, and although the park was "full" it was relatively quiet. The two sites in front of ours stayed empty the entire week we were there (even tho the website showed no vacant spots) which was a good thing, because it made hooking up to our travel trailer and pulling out a bit easier without worrying about a camper in front of us. Although all the sites are pull-through they are that tight.
We used the community campfire several times, and only had company one night - the firepit is large enough to share.
We bought ice at the camp store, which had a few items for sale in addition to ice.
The first nite (a Sunday) the bathrooms were horrendous, but they were cleaned and maintained a bit better during the week.
The local turtles, terrapins, were laying eggs all over the campground. You had to be careful not to hit them, but it was common to see them traipsing through your site, and looking for a place to dig a hole.
We stayed in late June 2021.

If you come to somewhere expecting a private site with nice sitting area - look elsewhere. The sites are big enough, it's full hookup at a great price. As others have said - they have no shade, etc. They have planted some trees that I'm sure will be nice in 10-15 years....
Signage into the park is poor - we arrived in the dark and took a little to work out where the entrance was :D. Great fun with the toad!
Site not level - but not far enough off to be a concern. Great hookups. Very close to the beach, marina, walks, etc. Easy drive to all the tourist spots.
Pro tip: Frank and Louie's Italian Specialties in Rehoboth - amazing sandwiches. Maybe the best I've had in the USA. Just go there :D.

A crammed in, near-to-the-beach, 'are you a regular here?' mentality, direct sunshine campground masquerading as a Delaware State Park.
This place's savior is it's within a 1/2mile walk to a lovely beach location. The beach treated us right. The campground? It was not our favorite.
We were here over the Fourth of July - so our experience reflects a typical American summer holiday campground "fun" show.
We stayed on the 'North' campground side, which is a bit larger than the South, and provides walking access via a path under the bridge to the beach behind a well kept restaurant/bar/bathroom complex. Warning: there are a crapton of horseshoe crabs on this area of the beach, so if that sort of thing creeps you out, maybe walk further down.
The campground is close knit both in proximity to your neighbor - without any sort of foliage separating you - and in the regularity of the visitors here. We quickly found out that this campground books with regulars - people that come back to the same spots every year with their neighbors... and they make sure you are aware of that fact. The campground hosts were definitely buddies with the drunk regulars... who felt very free to be openly drinking, drunk, smoking and causing scenes in the smoke-free, alcohol-free campground.
We felt as if we were in a local trailer park, rather than a state park, for most of our stay.
Otherwise, this park hosts lots of turtles, lots of families and kid gangs riding their bikes, and lots of sandy sites ready to flood your rig with tiny particles of no joy.
Full hook-ups with a few back-up sites saved in case your hook-ups give way during your stay (which I thought was a nice touch).
We'd be back.. but probably not over a holiday - which would hopefully avoid 'the regulars'.

Very well maintained campground. Asphalt was in good condition. Paved site. Plenty of dumpsters. Easy access on and off the main highway after the bridge.
Short walk under the bridge to the beach. Amazing sunsets.

There is some noise from the occasional load car showing off going up the highway but for the most part it was quite. Fishing was fun to do on the inlet and the people were friendly. If I had one complaint it would be that the paved pads could be just a bit wider. I only complain because the one night it rained the ground outside my steps turned muddy which made it hard to come and go without getting feet muddy / sandy.

This was our first stay at a campground site with this many campers, felt a little like being on the infield at a NASCAR race. Campers were super friendly, the beach and fishing are within walking distance. Camp host were friendly and helpful. We had good phone service (Verizon). Bathhouses had push button showers - just a little frustrating - but the bathhouses near the tent campers had normal showers. Only real complaint would be that sites to not drain well and became lakes after a rain.

I was expecting more of a parking lot feel with no character after reading other reviews and while it is open and not very private, it was a lot nicer than I expected. We stayed in the North campground. 50 amp FHU back in. Nice level asphalt sites, strong power and a decent amount of space for sitting out. Cell was good with ATT @ 17 d/l and Verizion @ 9 d/l unboosted. T mobile was too slow to be usable but I didn't bother trying a booster.
There was plenty of OTA channels. The bathrooms are new and clean with large showers. There is a clean laundry on site with a couple of double sized washers and dryers which is a nice perk for a state park.
There are really nice paved walking paths which you can take directly to a dog friendly beach.
There's a ton to do in area. Cape Henlopen State Park has a lot of hiking and biking and there are multiple beach towns close by. Rehoboth is cool but so is Beverly Beach. There are boardwalks and tons of fun shops and restaurants. It's a great location because 15 min south is Beverly Beach and 15 minutes north is Rehoboth.
Beware of the onsite hiking trail (Burton Nature Trail). We attempted this the last week of May and were literally swarmed by thousands of mosquitoes and had to turn back. I never bailed on a hike that fast before.
