The area is rather quiet with only some slow speed traffic coming and going from the park and the nearby neighborhood. Oak Street sees some traffic as well but it's rather low speed and pretty much disappears in the evening.
Spend some money in town to say thanks.

Dump station is two lanes, one water spigot next to the bathroom. I parked in the fenced around parking lot.
There was a band playing on a Thursday day night who were really good. Do check a schedule during the summer and arrive early (3-4ish)
Did not test the 30A recepticle at the entrance of the fenced in parking lot.

Arrived around 5:30 pm. Saw several cars and booths at the park. Turns out they have a farmers market 3-7 every Thursday June through September and music from 6-9 on those nights.
We decided to try the private campground a few blocks up (Woods and River) and they have spots open and reasonably priced for full hookup.

Called local police and they were ok with 1 night stay. Great break from camping sites. Kids enjoyed the park. Great on pocket book for a quick one night between camp sites. Dump station free. Local hiking paths relaxing.

The town has recently opened another section of the town park that is much nicer across the other side of the Rio Grande River.
After dark no one came into the part of the park we stayed in.
Just call the town to ask permission.
Then are very friendly.
Because we stayed a Friday evening I put in a call to the towns police dept to let them know we had permission and our van color and plate number.
I did this out of courtesy and to stave off a middle of the night knock on our door.
All we heard all night was the sound of the river.
This is a free over night at a town community park soo respect it.
The town has put a lot of effort into their park.
There is a free dump station, potable water, trash can and a really stinky portopotty which we avoided.
Verizon works fine.
