“Decent Campground on Rt 299, Mostly Permenant Residents”

Overall Rating

A good stop off on the way to Redding area. Beautiful scenery on a curvy road (Rt 299) in. Rt 299 is decent but has a lot of construction and almost no straight stretches. Nothing else in the area. No check-in, packet was on office door. Park is 80% permanent residents. Park is powered by generators, so some noise. We reserved a 50 amp site but only one leg was active so we switched to the 30 amp outlet and had no problems. Didn't hook up the water or sewer. There is a big dip in the road right by the office.

A short walk to the Trinity River. Park has a pool and some games for the kids.

No cell service, I mean zero. Park wifi just barely reached our site, so we were able to text and get minimal internet.
