This is a resort State Park, so Arkansas pulls out all the stops. There is a lodge with a restaurant, a marina with everything from kayaks to pontoons for rent, a golf course, horseback riding, and a plethora of nature events lead by park staff for those with kids. The staff is super friendly and my daughter loves Ranger Rae, who leads snake encounters and night animal expeditions.
AT&T was usable in both sites I've stayed in. I got 4G, not 5G, but was able to work multiple days through video calls without issue. My T-Mobile hotspot was in-and-out.

Sites were nice and roomy. Campground was very clean. The entire camping area is covered with trees so it was like camping in a forest. The lake is a definite selling point.

Not all sites are level. Lake front sites had better features decks on some. Didn’t have any marked lake access in our area. Park is large and biking or driving is the only practical way to get from one area to the next.

Can’t wait to go back! We were on the peninsula with amazing views. DV so it was half price. 50 amp our 41’ 5th wheel fit with room to spare. Clean sites and level. Great service with Verizon (I work from RV). Summer probably lots of boat noise but we loved it.

Not a lot of room for the truck but the camp space made up for it. You are not crammed up against each other. Sunsets are to die for. Each spot has fire ring and BBQ pit. Very clean. Full time rv’ers and We will be back when we are coming this way. Make reservations to be sure to have a space. I can imagine in peak season lots of boat noise but not the case during our stay. The park was really nice. Lots of things to do. We hiked a few of the trails. They were all kept us and cleared. Stayed in site 23. Our camper is 30’ long and I would not put nothing bigger there. There is a rough and tumble crowd at this park. Lots of glass on our site and tent campers displaying their southern pride. Not the type of thing I want my kids to see. Pros: Attractive location with some beautiful lake views. Sunset was really nice. Site 16 and others at the end of the loop have excellent views and some privacy.
Two proper parking spots per site.
Plenty of wood to scavenge.
Iron Mountain bike trails were great. Less than a mile from the loop. Very steep hills be ready.
Iron mountain marina nice and had plenty of supplies
Cons: Water only available at the main gate. Be sure to fill up.
Very little shore accessibility for swimming and wading. Be sure to reserve a pontoon boat to enjoy this beautiful lake.
Many neighbors brought a second truck with watercraft and park wherever.
The state park across the lake is like a country club in comparison.

Hiking, biking, marina, tennis courts, golf course, disk golf, fishing, and swimming beach. 82 campsites to choose from and not too close together. Only open to self contained RVs right now due to CoVid 19.

I had to pick up trash at our site as we travel with dogs and I did not want them to eat or chew on anything left behind by the previous occupant. There is phone service and we were able to get satellite service as well. We will probably camp here again as it is close to my husband’s work, but this is not one of my favorite parks.

The bathrooms were nice. Since we were only there 2 nights and we went to Hot Springs during the one day we didn't explore too much in this park.
