Dontjustdream would stay here again

“Peace above the lake.”

Overall Rating

We spent 11 days at Deer Creek this past August. Chokecherry campground sits up above the lake with great views all around. All the sites were full hookup and fairly level. Huge sites, we could have fit our 32 ft TT, a boat and truck on our cement pad. The days were windy, quiet and peaceful. The only complain would be lack of water pressure and the electric would periodically go out during our visit. Other than that, we would return next time in the area.

“A more low key option...”

Reviewed Oct 04, 2015

Overall Rating

In the Heber valley there are several options as far as campgrounds go and 3 state parks (Jordanelle, Wasatch Mountain & Deer Creek). If you are looking to be close to a lake, Jordanelle and Deer Creek are your options. Jordanelle can get quite busy and so Deer Creek offers a great alternative. The campground is not as nice as Jordanelle and many of the sites have very little between them, other than some space. We stayed here overnight for a shakedown trip on a new trailer and I am sure we will stay here again. However, we would probable see if Jordanelle has any good spaces open first.

Our site was VERY level (Probably the most level we have ever had. Power was solid and the water pressure was about average. The only complaint on our site was the location of the sewer. It was all the way at the back of the site and our stinky slinky was not long enough to reach. There is a dump station on-site so if you are in a similar issue you should be just fine.

Don't count on any data signal here. We had only 3G with 2 bars and it was painfully slow.
