Thought it was a nice quiet place till the weekend hit. Guests walking and riding motorcycles threw your camp spots. Dogs(multiple) walking around with no leash. Parties till 3:30 am. And some idiot running his generator all night long. Might be a nice place to stay during the week but avoid at all costs on the weekend.

We came on a Thursday (wedding on Saturday) and we were one camper of 5 in a lot that holds 40. Friday night the place filled up, motorcross right next door apparently. Races done by 9:30 so no issue BUT this place was nuts. Kids riding motorcycles right through the campers all evening even when we were sitting outside the camper. Walking through would have been one thing but motorcycles! Dogs off leash. Generators running all night. (States off by 10pm.) People loud and partying outside our bedroom till at least 3:40am.
We had considered staying longer but we will be leaving ASAP.

Location, location, location. Close to Deadwood, right at the trolley pickup. Site with water and power. We have a 22’ trailer, with no slides…thank goodness, because the sites are so close that our door almost hit the slide of the RV next door when we opened it.

Wonderful spot. Friendly, helpful host. Clean and easily accessible showers, restrooms. Washer/dryer on site. Quiet. Trolley pickup from campsite, but totally walkable.
Definitely recommend! This town is like a mini Las Vegas, so more adult oriented.

We boondocked here for 2 nights. The sites were level and most were open (no trees) for our solar. The office staff were very friendly and helpful for area advice and attractions. Even provided us a coupon for one of the museums. They do also have sites with water and electric. Dump is available on site too.

OK, so it is a gravel parking lot with hookups... but the hosts were awesome! Bent over backwards to help us with our receipt since it had to be perfect for the DMV since we were becoming SD residents. Since it was the end of the season they had to turn off the water half way through our stay so they refunded us $15 dollars per night. Sites are level and the campground is located directly behind the must see Days of 76 Museum right at the edge of town. It’s a 10 minute walk to historic Main Street and there’s a trolley that comes right to the campground every 30 min. A few areas for the dogs to wander, but not great for them. There is also a dump station at the entrance. Just a side note, beware - most of the slot machines in town tend to take more than they give... at least that’s what we experienced. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice bathroom/ shower facilites and a laundry room. If you want to visit Deadwood, this is the place to camp. They have the cheapest rates around. There is trolly that will take you to town every 30 mins ($1.00 per rider) or you can just walk 20 mins to downtown.
Check in was easy and the ladies at the front office were very friendly. The sites are level enough and there is plenty of space for big rigs. We were here during a holiday weekend and we were packed in pretty tight, with minimal space between the rigs, however we were out exploring the area most of the time so it didn't bother us. During the week, the lot cleared out and we mostly had the place to ourselves.
There is some noise during the week as there are a lot of trucks coming a going to the business located next to the lot, but nothing too bothersome.
We will stay again when we come back through Deadwood.

We walked around the campground. Sites appear fairly level, and enough space for big rigs. Not much in the way of trees. I’m sure this place is packed when the rodeo is in town. We got very good Verizon cell coverage.
