Since I couldn't find many reviews for this campground, I relied on the official website which stated that trailers up to 20 feet were acceptable. I have a 16' trailer with a 4x4 TV. The Happy Canyon road into the site is narrow and a good portion unpaved. I was prepared for the unpaved but the narrow was quite treacherous with a trailer. Very few turnouts (or turn arounds!) so if you did confront another vehicle, you hoped it was in an area they could pull over far enough to let you pass or back up. It's a mountain road so there are steep cliffs on either side. The campsite is 14 miles off the main road and by the time we reached it we noticed loud jack hammering. Turns out the forest crew was in the area doing work and they were also camping at half the campground. This was on a Friday and we assumed that they wouldn't be working on the weekend but the other guests told us they would continue the work on Saturday, as well. We decided to abort the weekend and make the trek back out. When we reached our second destination, I discovered that both sides of the trailer were completely scratched from rubbing against the brush on the way in and out. No way to avoid this since the road was so narrow.
They should not allow trailers into this site (or the road in) and I'm annoyed that the website didn't mention about the work being done. If we had decided to stay, I would have been angry to have to listen to that for 2 days.

We drove from Big Sur and saw this spot on the map. We didn’t make reservations but there were signs on each sight with some reserved. There was no attendant and no box to pay.
This spot has two restrooms and a trash dump.
There are many flies during the heat so be prepared. At night there were multiple skunks which we were able to shoo off with music.
This site has a creek running through it with water access near each spot. We brought water shoes and hiked to the top of the stream where a nice waterfall begins.
We hiked in very narrow dry trails above the water so be prepared for stickers. It was a low 80° in the day and in the 60° at night.
Would highly recommend a 4x4 or truck, the dirt road is ok but some of the paved road is not kept.
No cell service (T-mobile) once you turn into the park.

We stayed there mid-may. Nice camprground, very quite and cheap compared to other places in the area. There are approx. 10 sites but it wasn't really busy. A small river runs through the campground, which is convenient. Nice trails are nearby : if you stop on the road to the Fire Station, they can give you a map of the trails. We stayed there mid-may.
