Davie Lake South Recreation Site

Drove a good 15 minutes down a sometimes narrow dirt/gravel road to get to the site, using 4wd. Some gravel hills - not sure if 2wd would make it - maybe depending on your rig and if the road is dry. Sections of road were pure dirt - could be quite muddy after a rain. At the end of the road, there is a fork - take the left fork down to the camping area, not the right fork up the hill.

Camp sites were large, open areas with trees around. Access to water is shared - no lakefront campsites but some sites are close to the water with water views. Clear lake water with pebble surface and gradual drop off - good for swimming and boat launching.

There are steep off-road trails from the campsites. Other campers had an RZR and dirt bikes and had fun running up the hills.

Mosquitoes and noseeums while we were there as expected.

I had no AT&T signal even with a booster but my husband got good Bell Canada service.
