We found this place from Campendium after we were running very late for a Harvest Host. We decided to stay here for the evening instead of continuing on. This spot was perfect! We missed the previous information about a RV parking area so we had parked in the parking lot with lots of space and level ground. The parking lot was very accessible with two openings so we could just pull through. The bathrooms were open and immaculate. You hear a bit of road noice in the distance but not enough to keep you up. The occasional car would drive by on the road just behind the complex. Definitely better than a rest stop or Walmart! It was really nice to dry camp here for one evening. No one bothered us, and we felt safe here. Got here around 8pm and left around 9:30am.

Nothing special, but the complex is right off of route 2 and very convenient. The bathrooms were open and surprisingly clean and well maintained. We were the only ones here and had no issues. It was a little tricky to see the complex at night, but all in all a great option if you just need a place to car camp for the night!

We spent the night here on the low-stress route from Seattle to Montana. I contacted the city by email before we came, asking if it was still OK to camp here. They replied, "Yes, you can park your RV in the gravel area at the Sports Complex. The bathrooms are still open but there is no shower available. Thanks Dave." We didn't try the bathrooms. The gravel area we parked was on the right side of the paved parking lot. It was a little uneven, but with a couple of blocks we were able to level our trailer without unhooking. We were the only campers there. It was a week night in October, and there was very little traffic. We heard a train in the distance, but far away. We wanted to patronize a local restaurant for breakfast but didn't find any open.

This would be fine to park for one night but we decided to stay a bit longer so opted for the local Fairgrounds w/elec at $22 night since it was a Hot week in the 90’s. And we don’t usually stay anywhere for only one night, but it’s a fine parking place.

On the west edge of town, this parking lot is clearly marked with flags for RV parking. A local resident pointed us to triangle of grass to the left as you come into the parking lot where our teens could pitch their tent beside our trailer. The lot is well lit and we had it to ourselves mid-week in July. It is close to the highway but it is pretty quiet by midnight. You need to be self-contained, however, as there is no access to water, electricity or washrooms. This is a great free spot! Highly recommended.
