“Super Clean”

Reviewed Jul 13, 2019

Overall Rating

We were here 5/27 and 5/28/19. Super clean, cheap $2.50 for us oldies. Able to fill our fresh water. Would have stayed longer if able. It was an unscheduled stop for us as we intended to go further that day. GLad we stopped.

As previously mentioned, grounds and restrooms were spotless. Stayed in #9 with a B van.
Quite and dark at night. Plenty of hiking.

“Great campground”

Reviewed Jun 03, 2019

Overall Rating

Campground appears to have been newly renovated. Almost all campsites are level. The vault style bathrooms are SPOTLESS, in all my years camping I have never seen bathrooms this clean. The whole campsite is clean and well maintained. Carlos and Theresa (camp Hosts) do a great job. There is water available but not at campsites. No... more

“Gem of a campgound in the middle of nowhere”

Reviewed Sep 09, 2018

Overall Rating

This is a gem of a campground: beautiful, remote, easily accessed and absolutely quiet. Entrance is from an excellent, wide, dirt road from US-60. If you're coming from Socorro, don't follow the GPS onto Hwy 12. Go straight ahead on US-60 and turn left at the sign. Bring groceries and everything you're going to need, because there are ... more

“Isolated, Clean, Beautiful campsite for cheap! ”

Reviewed Jul 03, 2018

We pulled in around 11pm to this campsite (would not recommend taking the isolated roads to get here after dark - we had a little trouble finding the the campground but that was due to no cell service for hours before and our gps just took us to the center of town 🤦🏻‍♀️ Finally found it and self paid with the envelope - picked out spot... more

Agree the host is outstanding at her job! Spotless vault toilets. Excellent well signed trails lead from the campground. Sweet visitor info center with lending library. Don't forget to visit The Gathering Place in Pie Town for a sweet treat if you are heading west.

“This campground was a very pleasant surprise!”

Reviewed Nov 30, 2017

Overall Rating

Beautiful, well-kept little campground with great hosts (Carlos and Theresa). The biggest surprise was how clean the restrooms were. Have you ever been in pit toilets that smelled good? Me either, until I stayed here.... Carlos claimed that Theresa was the one who knew the secret to the great smelling toilets. Larger rigs are ... more

“Shared Thanksgiving camping trip”

Reviewed Nov 25, 2017

Overall Rating

This campground is a real hidden treasure. I don't think I have seen such a clean well cared for campground in quite a while. The newer vault toilets were immaculate and even had hand sanitizer dispensers that were full! The sites are well maintained and far enough apart that you feel a real sense of privacy.
