This spot is worth the five mile drive off the highway. The small road is paved and winds among small farms and cotton fields. There is one big open loop that can easily accommodate large rvs and a second loop woods good for smaller rigs or tents. There are trash cans, rough looking picnic tables and an outhouse a short walk down towards the dam. The dam and spillway are very interesting. Highly recommend this for a quiet place to sleep.

This is a great free site. While it is five miles off the highway, the narrow country road is paved and winds around small farms and cotton fields. The dam and spill way are a short walk and interesting to see and hear. Not much at the camping area but separate loops, some mossy picnic tables, a few trash cans and a bathroom. It could accommodate large rvs needing pull throughs, and has a more wooded loop for smaller rigs and tents. We had the place to ourselves on a Sunday night in November.
