Be sure to book on Recreation.gov before loosing cell signal. We had to drive back up the road a little to pay for our site. $12 without electricity. 1/2 price with senior pass. Electric sites were $20 and $21. Bridge with 3 ton limit between the 2 sections of the campground. Tight turn too. Best to go over the dam and down the dirt road to the section with electricity if you want that. Showers in that section. Did not use. Look old and need some fresh paint. We were all alone in the non-electric section. All sites have water, picnic table and grills. One grill had wasp nest as they were going in and out of it. Playground with swings and more. This could be a spectacular place with some TLC. Lovely setting in the trees. Big corn field behind our site. Some bugs as it was hot and muggy after rain.

Nice place to stay near the lake behind the dam. Big sites with water and electric for $17. There are full hookups too, they are more expensive. You select a site and pay the fee pole. There were plenty of sites available when I visit d in a Thursday night. If it had been full, privacy would have been an issue, in terms of proximity to neighbors. also there's a lot of bird poop on everything. But for the price it's a great deal and the dam and lake are nice to check out. Also an old bridge leading from the full hookup side to the e/w side. I didn't get much service without the booster but had a couple bars with it.
