Cut N Shoot RV Park

I want to be fair to the park, when we looked it read 5 Stars. This is in no way a 5 Star RV Park. John who runs the place is great, but this place has a lot of permanent people, and many of those rigs are in need of repairs. The spots need a lot of TLC, not manicure at all, weeds growing on the gravel spots, not small weeds tall weeds. The grass was not mowed for the two weeks we were there. So no sitting out next to you rig, and if you do you are in 12 inches of grass. The park could use some pest control especially near the laundry building which is near what I could see the only garbage dumpster, which means tons of flies. My suggestion is to relocate all the permanent RVer to one area and focus on a set amount of spots for short term. I understand this may sound bad and understand the monthly rent is low and you get what you pay for but the park has potential. The good things are full hooks, laundry, and it’s a quite park and people mind there own business. Weekly rate $150.00 we would come back and again just wanted to be transparent as when we arrived thinking 5 Stars we were shocked. So wanting to make sure other understand what the park really is in a star rating.

We called late at night after our departure was delayed. The manager was already off-site, but promptly answered and knew which sites were available. Check in was simple and consisted of filling out the intake form and paying $29 cash. The site was clean and mostly level, but it seems like most rigs belonged to residents. Power was consistent and hookups were in good condition. We would stay there again.

We stayed here for a week while we found a campground closer to the Humble area. Cut n Shoot is about 20-30 min in any direction of a major highway and grocery store. The front row of sites are long enough we didn't need to unhook to pull in. The lots are all dirt and large chunk gravel. Our site was not too far off level, which is always a nice treat. All utilities are in great shape and each site is 30 and 50 amp. A lot of permanent residence but it is quiet and everyone is respectful. There is a small playground, laundry facility, small pond, and lots of grass for those with dogs. The road between sites is 1 lane, getting out without rolling over grass and other sites was challenging. We opted to back out of our site onto the main campground road to avoid getting in the grass or other sites.

It is a nice place to stay . The owners are very nice and friendly. They have a nice dog walk. The grounds are clean the restrooms are nice and clean, the laundry room is clean and they have vending machines and a nice playground for the kids . The rates are $29.00 per night and the weekly rates are $150.00 and that include the lights, and $350.00 per month. Will recommend this park.

Everything was great about this park. Some dog owners let their pets poop on our site but once the office was told they were right on it! Had an electrical issue that they were there and fixed right away. These owners care about their campground and keeping their tenants happy. Quite a few people live there full time. Wonderful people own and run this campground. Weekly charge was $150.00 electric included, monthly is $350.00 plus electric. Can’t wait to go back!
