Large sites. Family atmosphere. Lots of responsible adults with young children. No drunken hoodlums. A little pricey. Discover Pass required. Lush green yards, manicured nicely. Shade tree at each site. Shower and bath house centrally located. Volleyball nets on site. Ice for purchase on site. Power and water sites a available. Boat dock and launch at the water. Fish cleaning station as well, with running water! Perch Derby Memorial Day 2024-Labor Day 2024 and they likely have it each year. $100 for most, biggest, & dealers choice.

A rainy forecast Memorial Day weekend so not nearly as full as we’d expect it to be. Had no prior reservations and there were a few RV spots still available. A little pricey nowadays at $40/night for power & water. Nice firepit and aluminum picnic table provided. Shower house and bathrooms close by. Quiet, one way traffic. Boat launch ... more

Great place for kids. They even have bicycles for kids to borrow at no charge.

AT&T are the only towers around, but with my booster was able to get just enough Tmobile to text slowly. If you are looking for the textbook example of a spotless WA state park with something for everyone, this is it. We have a 40 DP plus toad, and could drive right into the pull through site. The site looked bigger in the picture but I think anything even a 45 tag could get in - if not there are plenty of back in sites. Coming over from Colville it's a 6% grade up and down, plenty of pull overs for us slow big rigs. You will get good driving practice. Little else to add, it's a lovely park that I am sure is swamped in the summer. The fishing seemed unfair, we could don't stop catching fish. Plus this lake has those monster tiger fish ( I am not a fisherman) that have teeth and you need the right gear to land them. Apparently they are highly prized, I prefer to catch an adult beverage and leave the scary fish to the experts. This is a destination-ish park bring your stuff with you, or Republic has a few restaurants and grocery and just the nicest people.

The bathrooms were very clean, well lit, heated, and smelled good. On the down side the shower water pressure was not great. There are two shower heads, one low and one high, my husband had to stoop to use the lower head because of low pressure. Online booking fee was $8.00.

Hiking trails were okay, but done within a couple hours and not much else is within half an hour driving distance.
If staying, definitely check out the fossil museum in Republic.

The term 'manicured' would apply here. You would be hard-pressed to find any expensive RV park nicer than this place. Lawns mowed, restrooms cleaned, attentive management. The best state park I've seen.

We planned a tour of north central Washington and the weather took a turn to the hotter side so electrical hookups were in order. I scored 2 nights at the last moment.
The park includes RV E&W hookups, tent only sites and a dry camping area for either tents or RVs. Lots of grass and there is constant irrigation going on. The hookup sites are in a loop with the bathhouse in the center. The loop has pull-throughs on the outer part of the loop and back-in sites on the inner part. The pull-through sites are fairly spacious, the back-in sites are mostly pretty tight. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. There is no privacy between sites.
Walk-in tent sites are located on a berm between the campground and the lake and are identified by a picnic table and fire ring. Sites on the top of the berm have a great view of the lake.
There’s a boat launch right in the camping area along with a dock. Not great swimming except a small area right next to the launch. Lots of families came by, dipped their toes in then left. But kids were running through the sprinklers so no one overheated.
We had no Verizon signal anywhere near the campground. The AT&T in our truck worked until we turned into the campground driveway. All in all we’d come back but would try for a pull-through site.

Curlew Lake State Park is located in NE Washington in Ferry County. The Lake is 5 miles long, and spotted by small boat-in resorts which makes kayaking or canoeing a real adventure. The campground sits at the bottom of a bowl, and each morning and evening white-tailed deer come to the edge of the campground to feed. The nearby mining town of Republic and the so-called ghost town of Curlew (people still live there -- go figure) are among my favorites. This place is not like anywhere else in the State.
