Definitely arrive in daylight due to county road conditions leading up to campground
Wilderness Trail Distillery tour and tasting was out best

PROS
Super friendly staff and volunteers
Escorted to our campsite after check-in
Keycard required to enter campground
Moveable wooden and metal picnic table
Metal fire ring with cooking grate
Camp hosts at sites 1, 10, 31, 34B, and 67
Nice party pavilion
Site #83 asphalt parking pad surrounded by mowed grass
Laundromat on site
Ice and campfire wood sold at camp store. Wood delivered to campsite.
Campground was decorated for Halloween
Good basecamp to explore a lot of distilleries
CONS
Over priced at $69/night but grateful for AAA discount for that price reduction
$4 reservation fee charged
One toilet in mens toilet/shower facilitythats it for the 89 campsites. Two toilets for women.
Street lights at sites 67, 82 & 83, and 88 so not dark sky friendly
Woodside campsites had to do some very creative leveling
Site #83 not level
Most dogs not on leash
Complimentary WIFI was hit or miss and a transmitter was right next to our camper
No privacy from other campsites
Only trash dumpsters beyond entrance gates
Campground roadways a bit tight to maneuver
No TMOBILE signal

Great campground. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Sites are plenty big and you don't feel cramped. The concrete pads and fire rings are also nice. The drive in is not bad like others like to bring up. Take it slow and you'll be fine. The river views and trails are also nice and clean. Also, wifi is available.

We hit a delivery truck coming up the road as we were arriving at the park. The road into the park is very narrow, twisty and steep. Delivery truck was coming up as we were arriving. Narrowly avoided disaster as it was on the steepest part of the road right after the curve so we couldn't see the truck coming, and we just got the rig stopped. Otherwise, the park is beautiful and quiet. WIFI is a 1 out of 10, it was so unreliable as to just be frustrating.

We came here thinking it would just be a place to sleep while we went to the Bourbon Trail and The Ark Encounter, but we just loved the beauty of this place. Very friendly and accommodating. Wish we lived closer. This would be our "go to" spot.

It was a very nice camp but the weather was not nice. End of April was rainy. The Saturday nite food truck and music was wonderful. Quite location with river and waterfall, hiking trails. Lots to do around the area and worthy.of a visit.

Staff treated us right away and even honored a “twin check” from a previous visit! Beautiful view of the river, quiet and well maintained campground. Backroad getting there is definitely a backroad (narrow and tight turns) but would definitely come back.
