It's not bad right by 395, but it's better further in. I've never seen no one else there, and I've never seen it crowded.

Perfect place to get a night’s sleep on the 395. Some road noise, but not disruptive. At RM410, an entrance for off roadi vehicles.

Pulled into Cuddleback Rd in the dark, but the moon was bright and it was easy to follow the washed out dirt road. Only went about a 1/4 mile from 395 and found a (reasonably) level spot to stop. Traffic on 395 eventually quieted and there was no one else around. Got passed one time in the night by someone going further back on the road. There is a larger flat dirt lot closer to 395 so you don’t have to go back the dirt road to camp.

CAUTION: This area has easy access off of Hwy 395. Pulling in there was a few barely visible signs of previous campfires. Possible some group was burning wood pallets. This is a large flat area and after parking and leveling the rig I did a walk around outside the RV. I found a few nails on the ground and picked them up. After having a quick snack I walked around further and picked up more than two dozen nails and a few screws. It was getting dark so we stayed overnight and in the morning before leaving I tried to walk a patch out of the area and picked up many more nails. The motor home made it out ok but we picked up a nail in the TOAD and had to get the tire repaired. I will avoid this area.

Very happy with our first BLM camp location. It's so quiet and calm in here. There are mountains on the horizon in all directions. Sunsets are beautiful. The weekend was a little busier as there are OHV trails here, but not as busy as I thought it would be. I'd love to return with a small jeep to do a little more exploring.
We hiked around the area, finding lots of interesting bits along the way. Some from nature, others from inconsiderate litter bugs...
There is a Pilot station approx. 20 miles south in Kramer Junction for fuel, showers and other necessities.
Distance would be the only drawback to this site. Make sure your water supply is topped up and waste tanks are empty before you arrive and you should be good.

We were only here for a day as we were passing thru and the place was all ours except for a ATV rider who parked his truck in the lot as well. Not much to do out here except 4x4. The scenery isn't that great for hiking, its a huge open area with little more then desert bush. However the sunrise and sunset were pretty awesome.
There are no amenities here, but cell service was good.

Lots and lots of room to camp far away from your neighbors. Easily accessible from the road. AT&T and Verizon LTE. Really wide open. We were lucky enough to be here when the desert was in full bloom!
