Campground host was very nice and helpful. Power and water at the site, dump station at the entrance gate. Short walk away is the lake and a foot bridge leading to the swimming area and paddle boat rental. Most sites are shaded. Did see a very large coyote wander thru the campground, so watch your pets

We were scheduled for one night August 30th. Due to Hurricane Laura we delayed by a day and they were very accommodating on making the change. When choosing directions, make sure you choose the campground and not just the park. It’s a bit curvy getting into the park and a little narrow. We found our spot (22) and realized it was way too steep to back the trailer in and disconnect. After talking with the park host, we were able to move across to another spot (20). It was much more user friendly. 22 was an awesome waterfront spot, but designed for only tent camping. When the reservation was changed, it was the wrong date, but when the Ranger asked, we got it all sorted out. We were the only folks in the place for the night so it was super quiet. If you are relying on cell service, we rarely had a signal so I gave it no signal. We will probably stay here again in the Pin Oak Campground.

There were maybe 4, 1 or 2 nighters that came and went. Our site was close enough to easily walk to the bathhouse and the Lake's swimming area, but the hike back up the hill can be taxing. I had to put my truck in to 4-wheel drive to back the trailer in to the site. The lake is brown muddy water but it's a TN Man-made lake, so it's to be expected. Would definitely camp here again.

We were here just after the campground opened on May 1 and, aside from the campground hosts and very few others, we've got the place to ourselves. There are larger sites in campground #1 like #s 12 and 13 down the way, but most all have great shade from a nice stand of trees in the park. The bathhouse is about a quarter mile walk from #3.
Water and electric hook ups, dump station at the entrance to the campgrounds. We were here on a Monday and Tuesday, leaving on a Wednesday.

Pros:
- Solitude (for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and beautiful fall colors
- Took the kiddos out on Cub Creek Lake in a rented jon boat and loved it
- Got to see the horses at the wrangler camp
- Small, poorly maintained, but still entertaining little park office
- Great hike around half of Cub Creek Lake - wish we could have done the whole loop (~6 miles), but the kids weren't up to it.
- Camp hosts were very thoughtful - kept the bathhouse very clean, and made sure to shut the windows on a cold night.
Cons:
- The bathhouse was way too far down the hill for my tastes, and it was a bit tough to manage bathroom breaks with the kids.
- Got a little noisy on Friday night - expected, but I still wish people wouldn't bring 30' RVs with generators into campsites that are listed as "small trailers and pop-ups only."
- Not a single bite on the fishing line.

“Delighted”
noted 4/29/2022
I did say $29 for one night. It was $27 + $5, reservation fee, + $2.75 taxes, - $6.75 for seniors + $.76, round up donation = $29.
As were on our way from point A to B, we only stayed one night. I would love to go back & stay longer. First, it is a long drive off of I-40, so you're really back in the boonies. Second, look at the road in my picture -- I love a campground that does NOT have paved roadways; it just looks more appealing & outdoorsy. The sites seemed to be nicely spaced.
The camp host drove by to say 'hi' soon after we arrived. We did not need to check in.
The bath house was old but very well maintained and very clean. We were there on a Wednesday night in late April, so no noise. :)
I forget on the cell coverage.
