Crystal Springs Wilderness Lodges & RV Resort

This place was horrible. The cabins were nice, but not luxury. The water smelled of rotten eggs. The staff and owner were purely nasty with no customer service skills, and they are supposed to be under new ownership. Sad. They said we violated their rules with an enclosure through an email and that I had to take it down. Mind you, I was camping and barely had a signal, nor was I checking my email. The next day, I got a scathing message from Artie (who has terrible customer service skills) saying that since I didn't comply, he was going to call the state police to remove me from the property. Nobody took the time to try to call my cell phone or to drive up to the site and tell us in a nice way. It was right to being nasty with us. Very poor customer service, and a million rules to follow. Don't waste your money. There are also no onsite amenities, no camp store, only a pool.

We stayed only one night, as we were just passing through. It was very high priced so I assumed it would be so nice. There are no bathhouses, only one bathroom for men/women and it was locked. The bathroom is near the pool which has hours of 11-7. There was no WiFi although we were told if we’d asked they would have put us near it. We couldn’t get WiFi near the pool or bathroom or our site or near the office. The check in process was the most extensive we’ve ever done including approval pics of your rig before you can even start a reservation and then they want pics of registration on all vehicles, insurance, drivers license and then docusigning of documents and then when you arrive a site walk thru form to return in an hour. With all these extra hoops to jump through one would expect an amazing resort. If you don’t need a bathroom or shower or laundry or WiFi, it is a beautiful location with trees and level lots for a lot of money. It has a nice pool and cute cabins and a pond but I would not call it a resort.
