Didn’t get a call back after leaving a message on their voicemail, but they sold us one night when we pulled in, no problem. Nice campground environment, with a good pool, dog parks, and other amenities. Lots of people appeared to know each other, but were friendly to us. Looks like most sites are rented annually (holiday homes). Not a trailer park.

Their “Standard” sites in the park were roomier than our “Elite”! I didn’t ask for the “Lake” site, which is a murky gator infested Pond! The river here is just as nasty, but obviously ideal for a fishing boat???

We enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!
Pros:
- Friendly staff and fellow campers
- Nice Pool and hot tub
- Well maintained
- Clean and nice bathrooms
- Dog Park
- Playground
- Close to the beach
- Lots to do in the area
- Boat launch in the campground
Cons
- Roads are a little tight
- No stellar views from most sites
- A little tight but not bad
- Occasional flooding if there are extremely high tides, we didn’t have any issues
If you get a chance go kayaking and/or swimming with the manatees, it’s incredible. We love Bird’s Underwater Dive Tours.
The state parks are fun, including Weeki Wachi with the mermaid shows

We kayak and used the launch right in the resort to make our way out to the gulf for fishing and crabbing. Bathrooms are very clean. Friendly staff and very helpful. We also filled our propane tanks and bought bags of ice here. We ate several times at Granny’s which is 4 miles from the resort and is excellent home cooked food with very good prices. You can tell some people live here but it is not messy at the sites. We will be back ❤️
PS… be sure to check out Three Sisters Spring by kayak, it is amazing and so calming.

There was a group of obnoxiously loud campers in the hottub drinking and smoking in it with music blaring across the campground… Kinda ruined the nature experience more than the rain did :) We paid 60.
The sites have fire pits and tables.

Verizon cell service appears good with bars, but it often does not work. It's possible this related to 5G upgrades?

After reading some reviews I was concerned that it was a party campground. Not even close! Nice site with concrete pad and patio. Very quite. Maintenance readily available if needed. Overall a good experience. The no see ums were few in early November. It’s also been dry so that maybe why.
Town has everything we needed and some cute breakfast spots close by. Very nice office staff!

The clubhouse pool and hot tub are great. Our site was full hookup and included cable TV. Reception was a bit fuzzy on all channels, but we didn’t come for the cable TV. The No-See-Ums were more than a nuisance at the campground. I backpack and came armed with several great bug repellents, Deep Woods Off included. Nothing worked to ward off the No-See-Ums. The bites continue to itch even with topical treatments. There was only one flush toilet and one shower available for men during our visit. If my stay was any longer than 6 days, I would have shortened the visit due to the ruthless No-See-Ums. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 63.5 Mbps download speed and 4.05 upload speed. Verizon clocked in at 2.90 Mbps download speed and 0.70 upload speed. Some destinations may warrant braving insect problems, like Assateague Island National Seashore and the biting flies. A stay at Crystal Isles RV Resort doesn’t warrant putting up with the No-See-Ums in my opinion. Know before you go.
