We stayed here for one week in August 2024. We first dropped our trailer right after we turned off the highway (there's a wide spot in the pavement area) and scouted a spot. We ended up staying at these coordinates: 44°28'00.8"N 120°22'22.4"W (We learned from a local that this area is called "Corral Flats" because many people with horses come stay here). This was about 2 miles up the road from the Highway and took us 25 minutes to traverse with our trailer. The road is decent but there are many potholes that we went slowly over, plus two cattle guards. All of it was doable in our 45-foot toy hauler!
Our site was pretty uneven but that was partly our fault - if we had backed up between some trees it would have been more level, but would have been worse for our solar.
We did not have any cell service at all but used Starlink for decent connectivity (not the strongest either - tough to do video calls for work).
So many great forest roads to walk on in the area, not to mention just exploring across meadows. There are wild horses in the area and we were fortunate to see one of them two days in a row. Most nights we heard wolves but never saw one.
For weather, use Mitchell, OR - those temps basically matched what we were seeing at our campsite.
We would absolutely camp here again in the future - it was incredibly quiet and beautiful!

We were on Forest Road 2630 traveling to the Wildwood National Forest campground. Wildwood was closed due to COVID.
