I came in without a reservation and was able to get the campsite I wanted. My 30 amp service had no issues and the CG hosts were very nice people. Everyone was quiet all throughout the day so noise was not an issue.

Stayed here in late April, the weather was beautiful, the park clean and there is an awesome restaurant and farmers market in the nearby Amish community of Jamesport that shouldn’t be missed.
I gave it 3 stars because this is farm country and really isn’t close to anything.
Maybe 10 miles to I-35

I reserved the site for mid-April at the beginning of March. Campground opens 4/15 and we arrived on opening day. Check process can be done either in person or online upon arrival. Thursday night the campground was practically empty, but by 7pm on Friday night it was nearly full.
Ranger offered a list of activities and an extensive list of rules. The campground rules are enforced very strictly, so read them thoroughly. You will be made aware if you are observed breaking one of them. There were 2 nature hikes scheduled for the weekend, I imagine activities will ramp up further into the season.
We had a family site, the pad was roomie, "yard" was quite nice and right next door to the "basic" non-electrical sites. So plenty of grassy area for tents.
Restroom and shower facilities were quite nice, clean and large enough to handle the the campground at the nearly full capacity of the weekend. There was also a drop latrine at our end of the campground for convenience. There is no sink, but the hand sanitizer dispenser was full.
Our site was right across from the playground, which was quite busy, but things quieted down and by 10pm everyone was on best behavior. We are thinking about making this an annual campout.

My family and I stayed here two nights in October. The weather was very chilly, but the trees and landscape made up for it!
We arrived in the dark, which is not ideal, but the campground host greeted us and reported that he'd check in again once we were settled in. We stayed in site #1, which is an ADA site and is completely paved with a generous amount of room, ideal for wheelchair users. I appreciated that the main pad was level and that the site was close to the shower houses for easy access.
The shower houses were clean and if you use a wheelchair, you are able to roll in, which a stone bench provided for your clothes, toiletries, etc. You will need to bring your own shower chair because there is not one provided. The restroom had one ADA stall which was clean with plenty of room to maneuver a manual or power chair.
My family enjoyed hiking and mountain biking the many beautiful trails. I mostly enjoyed the quiet and a bottle of wine :)
We really enjoyed this campground, and although it was busy since it was a weekend, it was never too loud for us. It is very family-friendly and the kids will like riding their bikes around. We will be returning to this small, beautiful park!

The campground is surrounded by trees and all the campsites are well shaded. The sites have a gravel pad and some have electrical hook ups. Water spigots are dispersed around the campging area. We didn't use the bathrooms, so no comments.
The campground host was friendly.

We were pretty happy with this state park. Many of the campsites lacked privacy because there weren't a lot of trees between sites. If you're tent camping, there are some great sites where you can tuck your tent in-between the trees. For RVers.... you have great access to solar at most sites. Sites are electric (30amp) only or basic. The bathrooms and showers were kept pretty clean. There were several nice hiking trails around that did not seem to be used much- we didn't see another person on the trails. We were here for an uncharacteristically cool 4th of July weekend and it was relatively non-buggy and quiet. Camp hosts and site staff were friendly and helpful. T-mobile access varied from no service to 1 bar of 4G. They have several sites here that are 1st come 1st serve.
