Eight year old daughter’s input:
My dad made up this game that I’m gonna show you. Here it is ⬇️
Step One, have one parent stand at the by the top of the slide. Step Two, have the kids go down the slide. Step Three, have the parent chase the kids, kids, you have to get on the playground before the parent can get you! Good luck! PS play the game over and over again.
Tips:
Wear pants long sleeve shirts, socks, and close toed shoes. Because if you fall in the grass you will get hurt by DON DON DON, GOAT HEADS. don’t worry, they are the stickers kind.

Thank you to the town of Crosbyton for providing this RV parking area . It is a safe, clean place to stop for the night. There is water, electric and sewer. After Lubbock, I hoped to find a Texas picnic area along 82 but no luck. As I got to Crosbyton, I noticed an RV parked in a little lot and then saw the wonderful sign with "Crosbyton free RV parking". Oh happy day!! It's 11pm and I'm exhausted. My plan was to pull off at any closed store and then I saw this. I'm 38ft with a toad and there's tons of pull through space. There is only one other RV here. Best yet, there are electric boxes at each site plus water! I won't use electricity, but will be happy to add a splash of water before headed out tomorrow. I will update if there's also a dump available. If so, that will be awesome!
UPDATE: The dumps have been capped off and I'm not 100% sure that the electric works. BUT, the water does! Also, there are dumpsters for trash. This little place is actually a the parking lot to a little city park. It's designed as a pull through, so no worries! There are a couple of picnic tables and some nice shade trees, too.

This city park is in the middle of nowhere, Texas. I'm giving it three stars because it is free for up to three nights although they do accept donations.
The first site I pulled into had a broken sewer dump so I moved to another. It's definitely a hodgepodge of electrical wiring and I wasn't able to use my 50 amp surge protector which made me a bit nervous. The water spigot at my new site had a terrible leak and by the time I left in the morning, there was a huge puddle under the trailer.
The RV park is in a large city park parking lot. The lot is dirt and gravel. There are grassy areas and a playground on site. Unfortunately, there are thousands of goat head burrs all over and I wasn't able to exercise my dog at all.
Dumpsters are on site. It's right off the highway so there is some road noise but not too bad.
While I appreciate the fact that it was a free place to stay, I'd like others to be aware of the actual situation.

Glad to find a place to light after 260 miles of driving. Nothing fancy, hot, around 94, but constant strong breeze and if you sit in the shade it’s ok. Electric is good enough to run AC Which is needed overnight. Right by a road but quieted down at night.
