“Great dump station ”

I didn’t stay here but it looks like a great place to stay if you want to visit downtown.
I was dry camping in the mountains so I needed a dump station. It costs $10 and has a bill acceptor and a card swipe.

I made a reservation (with a $100 deposit) to stay here for 1 month from 3/31/19-4/30/19 for $450 total on 10/30/18. Now, 3 months later, they contacted me to say that the new total is going to be $1200 (a 266% increase) despite the already agreed upon price. After pleading with the manager about the drastic increase, she refused to ... more
I made a reservation (with a $100 deposit) to stay here for 1 month from 3/31/19-4/30/19 for $450 total on 10/30/18. Now, 3 months later, they contacted me to say that the new total is going to be $1200 (a 266% increase) despite the already agreed upon price. After pleading with the manager about the drastic increase, she refused to honor my confirmed (with confirmation code) reservation and now says that she has no record of my deposit left... which I do (10/30/18 at 2:43pm via my Visa Card). I believe this is a bait and switch, for whatever reasons, and now I'm not only out my $100 deposit, but am also without an affordable place to live during that closely approaching month. This is no way to treat returning customers, or customers of any kind (especially confirmed/deposited ones), and these actions should be illegal. Potential future customers, please be aware of this scamming behavior so something similar doesn't happen to you. Needless to say, I'll never be staying here again, which is a real shame because I enjoyed my previous stay and would have came back anytime I was in the area.

After our Jeep caught on fire in John Day Fossil Beds we needed a location to regrouop. Crook County RV park definately fit the bill. All services at site. After our Jeep caught on fire in John Day Fossil Beds we needed a location to regrouop. Crook County RV park definately fit the bill. All services at site. Although I listed the rate as $34 dollars a night that does not include the AAA discount we recieved. Staff were very friendly and allowed us to extend our stay by "penciling"" us in for two extra nights but not charging us for them until we needed them. Can't say enough about the support and help we got from High Desert RV (especially Daryln. Not only did they buy the jeep from us (the engine was a total loss) but help connect us with someone who was selling a GeoTracker, an option for obtaining another two vehicle to continue on our journeys. We took care of all of that in the first two days. High Desert RV was then able to order the parts needed to use our current towing system and installed them. Becasue we were then into Friday, and temps for the weekend were to be in the high 90's, we decided to stay through Saturday. WiFi was iffy - not as good as the previous reviewer indicated but with patience was able to actually work remotely. We were not disturbed by noise but the fairgrounds are right next door so depending on what is going on noise at night might be an issue.

We stopped over for the night on our way to the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds. The little town of Prineville is actually quite nice, and we were pleased with the customer service at the RV Park. We stopped over for the night on our way to the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds. The little town of Prineville is actually quite nice, and we were pleased with the customer service at the RV Park. All the RV sites are full-hook up, and have a nice grass strip and picnic table to separate the sites. Not a lot of privacy, but it was cold and we didn't spend much time outside.
The campground wi-fi was actually fantastic. We got quite a bit of uploading done in a short period of time!
