We called and reserved a spot and on the phone she said creek side but it was a spot between an old house and a trailer that should have been condemned but instead someone attempted to give it a paint job ( bright green). The spot was so unlevel I almost couldn’t get unhooked from my truck. I had to raise the tongue of the trailer 10 inches to get level and side to side 4 inches. The electric box had parts missing. There were some creepy looking guys living straight in front of our spot sitting on picnic table. I would never stay here again. I have never really worried about being broke in to if I left for a while but I was at this campground. The girl living in the green trailer came with her dog than ran over towards me as the girl said don’t worry he don’t bite as he then started barking and chased someone down the street as she apparently had no control over the dog at all. Creepy campground.

These cabins are in a great location, but honestly, we all doubt that they have been cleaned in a long time. The nightly rate is high and you will have campers surrounding your cabin, making you feel like you don't have privacy. The people working there are somewhat unfriendly and don't seem to care if you are having a negative experience. Calling to get directions, led to an uncertain employee who couldn't give me directions, except for the address. This won't help in the mountains if your GPS goes out due to lack of signal. If you don't mind a cabin that is rustic and possibly uncleaned from visitor to visitor, this is your place. Sorry..., I wish to support small businesses, but our group was not supported for this visit.

We had a spot next to the river and it was beautiful! The park hosts were not overly friendly but took care of our needs. The showers were gross. We had a spot next to the river and it was beautiful! The park hosts were not overly friendly but took care of our needs. The showers were gross. Washing machines were kind of old, one didn’t work, but they were cheap and did the job. Nice game room. Pool available but we were there in the winter. Pet friendly. WiFi only works at the office and game room, not at the sites. Convenient to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Very peaceful rustic getaway. Fishing in the river. Quiet.
shelliemckinzie would stay here again

“Not Big Rig friendly”
noted 10/3/2021
I was told by the gentleman that answered the phone that they are an older park and could not accommodate my 40 ft Mh.
