How far off the highway is Coyote Camp? How are the sites (Level, etc)? Low branches on the way in? TIA

Quiet relaxing campsite situated in the middle of the National Forest. We had no trouble parking our 26 foot class C but as others said the road in the campground could be more difficult in the rain. I would scope this out before bringing a larger rig; there is a place to park an RV/disconnect before turning onto the campground road.... more

Free little hunters camp in Kisatchie National Forest with pit toilets and easy access to multiple hiking, horse riding and ATV trails. Stayed here during early 2019, would stay here again. Posted a link to my blog for a full review.

This was a nice find. I camped here for one night in January. camping is free, but there is a fee for use of the nearby trail. I heard various critters during the night, including owls. The sites are not marked, but it's obvious where they are. the access road is a bit bumpy; might be harder to access during wet weather. I camped... more
