It used to be (or maybe still is) a public park with 2 base ball diamonds and a swing set. Big old trees and beautiful land. They have older bathrooms that they are fixing up. Electric appeared to be all new. Nice graveled level sites. There were cows on the hill beside us and I thoroughly enjoyed the calves (cow puppies as they called them) playing. It was very peaceful and we would definitely return.

We were not using our water system anyway because of the low night temperatures and only stayed one night. He only charged us $5 dollars and said if the water had been available he would have charged $10. The attached community park/playground equipment is pretty run down but there is a tennis court, a basketball court, and a baseball diamond, and includes a bathhouse and showers when the water is on. I was a little concerned about walking my tiny dog after dark because there were coyotes calling near by, so I had my husband walk with us. Coyotes tend to avoid people but I just felt safer with two people to protect my dog. There was only one other RV besides the camp host and our rig. So we had a lot of privacy.

Cow Hollow has a very large park area with about 20 sites with electricity and some with water. The bathroom/shower was ok. The shower had good pressure and was plenty warm. Lots of large trees scattered throughout. Hosts were friendly. There a couple campers that looked long term, a couple campers that looked like they were working in the area, and a few of us passing through. Overall I'd say it's a good place to stop if you are slightly off the beaten path. Easy drive to Vale from the south.

The hosts were kind enough to let me stay the evening anyway because it’s so far off the beaten path and I’m self-contained in my car with no need for amenities. It cost five dollars a night according to the host I spoke with, and there is somebody on site at all times. It does feel a lot like just a standard city park but it’s quiet, and peaceful, and it’s about the only thing out in this area.
T-Mobile signal was 1 bar LTE in and out on an iPhone 11.

This wasn't previously reviewed, but thought I would chance it. I arrived to find a bunch of older long term residents. There were no sites available and I was glad for that. An older fellow in a Trump hat told me to slow down because there are bird dogs running around. Couldn't get out fast enough!
