Our first trip of 2023 was to Country Acres Campground in Gordonville, PA. And what a great campground to start our season! This is a great spot for visiting Pennsylvania Amish of Lancaster County and about a one-hour drive to Hersheypark.
Our site (# 837) was a good size for our motor home + toad. It was level and covered in gravel, like all sites and roadways within the campground. Our site had full hookups, decent wi-fi, cable TV, a picnic table, fire ring, and nicely kept grassy area between sites.
Becci was super nice at check-in and check-out. They offer a 2:00 pm check-out which we enjoyed. And there are free tickets available for the Amish Farmland Bus Tour. There’s a small, basic tree at the front office. The pool wasn’t yet opened for our stay. They offered a 10% Good Sam discount (which is nice).
Bottom line: We had a great time at Country Acres Campground and can’t wait to go back!
THINGS I LIKED:
Clean and well-maintained property
Quiet campground with friendly neighbors
All of the RVs appeared well-maintained with no seasonal sites
Easy access from Route 30

We stayed in the #800 site area, and it’s great, super short walking distance to Motel 6 if you have family who want to be close but not in an RV. This area of the park has 2 washers and 3 dryers, bathrooms (with showers, I believe). There is a small dog run beside the kids play area. The play area is really cute. This area is nice if ... more

This area is nice if you want to be close to a bunch of shops and restaurants. The front office are pretty good with communication. Starlink doesn’t work well here because of the trees, but cell service is great.

In the heart of Amish country . Everything is spotless clean and maintained . Sites are nice and the pool is awesome . There is some highway noise mostly from truck drivers in love with their Jake brakes . Very good wi fi .

It’s a very clean campground. Staff was super friendly. Close to all the attractions. The campground had very thing you needed without having to leave the property. Next time in the area planning on stopping again. Only down side depending on the site you can hear the semi’s going down the road. Very thing else off set the noise.

The bathhouses (two) were immaculate clean! All had shower stalls and restroom facilities. Also had three washers and dryers.
The facility was very well-maintained. As were the playground equipment. We had the overall feeling of home!
We will return next year.

Very well-maintained park and close to all the area attractions in the heart of Amish Country. We had a wonderful, large site with a fire pit and picnic table. Great, friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone to stay at this park.

Pull through sites available.
Our site was very level, but electric hook up was on the left side of RV, good thing we had an extension cord.
Fire ring was in the grass away from tables and sitting area, so we didn’t use it.
Rained hard one night and we had large puddles of moving water, but good drainage after the rain. No standing puddles.

We actually planned on boondocking at a golf course about 45 mins away, but upon arrival around 8 at night we realized out batteries were dead :( Seeing as it was going to drop close to freezing we decided we needed to find a campground with plug ins quickly. We started calling around and most places were closed or full. Luckily Country Acres answered our late night call and had one spot left for us. Jim was so friendly and said we could spend the night in spot 808. We got there late and set up quickly as to try and not disturb the neighbors. It was a pleasant campground, quiet yet full and checkout wasn’t until 2 the next day. They have sites that back up to a corn field which would be great to stay at. The bathrooms were clean too! If we’re back in this area we’ll stay here again.
