“Good overall, enjoyed access to fishing and quiet nights”

Stayed July 13-17. Sites are quite close to the creek, and very popular for fishing and playing in the water. Plenty of day traffic, but it was very quiet at night. Site 5 was semi-shaded, but was too sloped for us to get level with our 19’ van, and right in front of the toilet (and downwind) — we’d go back to Cooper Creek/Mulky, but p... more

This is a lovely campground in the woods. The road to get there is very curly and gravel so a large trailer should probably steer clear. This place is tucked into the mountains of Georgia we would highly recommend if it wasn’t SO DANG NOISY. Seriously was awakened at least 3 time a night (Every night) with people being loud playing mus... more

This is a remote CG on a pretty stream. We camped there in January and the weather turned south on us, so we did not get out and explore. There are a couple of trails nearby and trout fishing is supposed to be good. We have a 20' trailer and there are maybe 3 sites that I would consider suitable (size and level). The roads are a bi... more

“Someone In Our Site”

noted 3/21/2023

I booked a site here via the Recreation.gov website just as they require. We got to the campground and someone had set up several tents, canopies, etc in the site we had booked/paid for. There is zero cell service and the “pay station” tells you to reservations are required via the app or call a number to book, which is ludicrous considering you have to drive 30 minutes down a windy forest service rd to get a cell signal. No sign of a camp host either. Not in the mood to argue with someone in the wilderness, we drove on. I appreciate technology, but it’s aggravating to pay for a site then not get to use it. Remote campgrounds need to be left first come, first serve with pay envelopes like the old days.
