Located along the lake and small town of Conconully. Small store, and a restaurant nearby. Park is well maintained, and very quiet. No AT&T/T-Mobile cell reception as of June 2020.

On the plus side, the park makes a good base for exploring a really beautiful, not well known area of the state, it has water/electric sites if you want or need them, there are showers and a dump station, the lake is pretty and it's right in town should you need anything. It's a really tiny town though so don't expect to find a Starbucks or an organic food market. Folks are friendly but you'll feel most at home if you like country western music, guns, big pick-up trucks and ATVs.
On the minus side, it's your usual Washington State Park in which a highly groomed and well mown lawn seem to be the primary concerns. Prices seem high for what you get.The really primo sites in my opinion are in the small southern loop which has just a half dozen non-reserve-able sites. All of these have lake views and some are right on the lake shore itself. These large sites can accommodate fairly big rigs, but there are some tight turns into this loop. We had no trouble at all with our 17' trailer in nabbing a spot here in mid-May. During the summer, all bets are off! A short nature trail through a wetlands area takes you over to the main campground. The pictures here on the website give you a good idea of what that's like.
The general area around Concunully is absolutely gorgeous and there are plenty of Forest Service and Dept. of Fish and Wildlife campgrounds available if you want a more "back-to-nature" experience. Do check out the Sinlahekin Valley for great primitive camping and boondocking opportunities.

It's not a wilderness-like experience. You feel like you're in the middle of a town square. Although it's a quiet town, you'll see and hear the traffic on the streets. One benefit is that it's an easy stroll to one of the towns eating establishments or convenience stores. Conconully Reservoir is also within easy reach.
There's a bath house that takes quarters for showers. Quarters are available at the ranger station where you check in. Like any state park, the rates are higher for the services you get. But the trade off is a highly maintained park and consistent experience.
If you're looking for something more rustic in the same general area, there are several national forest campgrounds a few miles west of town on Salmon Creek Road.
