I was very unhappy that we were put in a site number 5 that had known water pressure problems. By the time they moved us to site 144 it was 5 days later. When I asked for a credit for the inconvenience I was offered a free day. I can't use a free day. I wouldn't camp here again.

We needed a place to stay near Portland, and the Columbia River RV Park made it happen. Despite being fully booked, we drove there to ask if they had any place we could park. We didn't need hookups, sewer, etc. Just a place to boondock for the night. The super friendly staff said if we could fit in a spot next to the shower building, w... more

We've had several friends stay here while visiting Portland so we followed. We ended up not having a pleasant experience. We were in the worst section of the park. Most of the sites are very adequate with some grassy area between sites. The pads are concrete with a separate parking area. However, there is a section just past the o... more

“Convenient location, well maintained park”

Reviewed Nov 02, 2015

Overall Rating

We wanted to explore Portland and this is one of the closest park to downtown, just 8 miles away. In fact the light rail stops just 2 miles from here at the Expo Center so if you don't want to deal with parking in the city, it's a great alternative. It's just a regular RV park, no frills, but it is very clean and well maintained. ... more

“Excellent, no frills location for exploring Portland”

Reviewed May 20, 2015

Overall Rating

It's all about location here. There are not a lot of options near downtown Portland and this is by far the least expensive and best located. Weekly and monthly rates are outstanding, but spots are limited since much of the park is occupied by permanents. Sites are basic paved with a small slice of grass between neighbors. Not much in t... more

“Not glamorous but a great location, close to things, and clean.”

Reviewed Apr 19, 2015

Like everyone else has already said, this is a parking lot but the management is super nice and the park is clean. The location is also great, shopping in Jantzen Beach is easy and getting into the trendier parts of NE Portland without all the fuss of highways is possible. I've stayed here a couple times now. If you have a trailer ... more

“Convenient to exploring Portland”

Reviewed Apr 11, 2015

Overall Rating

As the other reviewer said, it's pretty much just a parking lot, but there's a little grass between the sites and everything seems nice and orderly. We came back here to stay a second time after finding it really convenient to get into Portland to explore the parks, food, beer, etc.

“Convenient to Portland”

Reviewed Nov 15, 2012

Overall Rating

Columbia River RV Park is the closest RV park I could find to downtown Portland. It's just a parking lot - so it isn't anything special. It's also right by the airport. The commercial planes aren't too bad, but the military jets crazy loud.

The free wifi worked great and we used it the entire week we were here.

“Hell on wheels”

Reviewed Aug 10, 2017

Management is very standoffish, and even though there is a speed limit they fly around the RV park at excessive speed on their golf cart, and only gave a month notice when raising the monthly fees. Some by $125 dollars. You can literally reach out and touch your neighbors RV in most of the spaces. There are no playgrounds or parks... more
