“Beautiful and Quiet”

Reviewed May 20, 2018

Overall Rating

The roads were in great shape and the campground was very clean. Our pull thru site was level and it was very quiet during our stay. We were planning on BOONDOCKING, however, when I called to find out the price (just in case) and was told they only had 2 sites left during our time period, I panicked that we wouldn't find a spot and m... more

Sites are on a terraced hill and erosion has made some of them less than level. We paid $59 with our access pass, not half price as in most NPs. Nice park, good service. Laundry and pay showers are in the "village", a short drive away, along with shops, restaurant and activities booking booth. Wifi in the village, but not in the campgr... more

“Full hookup with pull through sites”

Reviewed Sep 16, 2017

Overall Rating

Actual stay August 25, 2017. Cost is $79.00 but we stayed for $59 with senior pass. Campsites are tight with little privacy. Nothing special. Camp store, restaurants, gas station, boat rental and visitor center are all within walking distance. Propane is available at campground. Check in was a bit disorganized.

“Great location for exploring the parks”

My favorite campsite thus far on my travels, colter bay had it all. Well, except available electric hookups. Each spot has picnic table, bear box, and fire pit. You arent very far from other campsites, which means practically no privacy but its great for socializing with neighbors. You have access to water and the flush toilet bathroom... more

“Convenient to Yellowstone and Tetons”

Reviewed Sep 06, 2017

Overall Rating

In general, this was a very pleasant stay. Sites are a little close, but the diagonal layout means you aren't right next to your neighbors when you are outside. Lots of trees for shade and a little privacy. Two problems. (1) Because of bears, grills and just about everything else must be packed away. However, there are no bear boxes, w... more

Colter Bay is the busiest of the campgrounds in the Tetons and fills up quickly.Overall found the sites to be on the small side and many not level at all. However the rangers were eager to help switch sites where possible if you found your site intolerable. We liked the shower and laundry facilities but found a certain older volunteer to... more

Nice pull-through spots and was easy to level and get set up. There are plenty of trees for shade and we had plenty of room to fully extend our awning as well. We absolutely love Teton NP and the Jackson area, so we were thrilled to be right in the midst of all the fun. This is a convenient location for those that want hook-ups.
