Toilets were clean and garbage dumpster on site. The CG is about 10 miles from Buena Vista with all amenities one might need and cell reception can be obtained about halfway to town. There are many hiking trails nearby and even a hot springs down the hill. We also stayed in this campground in 2021 and 2019.

This campground was close to the road from Buena Vista to Cottonwood Pass. Tucked into the Collegiate Peaks this campground had tall pines and is along a nice creek. It seems like it can get pretty busy, but we were there during the week in early June so it wasn’t full. Vault toilets were clean and firewood was for sale. The drinking water pumps were operational at the time of our stay, but had a sign stating the water wasn’t chlorinated? I ended up filtering the water just to be safe. Our site was nice and big but had to level the trailer a bit.

Stayed two nights over Labor Day weekend. Most of the sites are pretty well spaced. You can see your neighbors but are not right on top of them. Site 9 is a nice one but the back in driveway is only about 25ft so not great for the big rigs. Pit toilettes were fine but not he cleanest. About 10min to Buena Vista which a great little ... more

Be sure to hit Eddyline Brewery. No Verizon service at the site but a few bars just a couple of minutes down the road if needed.

We came here early on a Friday (before noon) and it was full. It seemed every site was reserved. I noticed how crowded it was. People everywhere and vehicles on the one way road. But it would a be a good place to jump off if you plan to hike the mountains/trail head nearby.
