“Beautiful, peaceful place on the Metolius River. Many birds to see and listen to. ”

Small campground and cabins. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good WiFi, sometimes a little slow. Able to make internet phone calls. Movies to borrow in the office. A short walk to the town of Camp Sherman, by a foot bridge over the river, that has a store and post office. Laundry (Lock and Load) and shopping available in the town of Sisters about 14 miles away.

“RV Sites and Rental Cabins”

We stayed at RV site 12. This site had electric, water and sewer hookups. The electric hookup was only 50 amp, so we used our 50 to 30 amp adapter. The gravel parking pad was near level, but did require the use of our levelers. There was a picnic table and large grass area with fire pit.
This is the only pull-through site in the campground. The site is partially shaded with large Ponderosa Pine trees. Site 12 is at a bend in the road so there is a large front yard area. There are rental cabins just across the road, but the front porch of the cabins is on the back side of the cabins by the creek. So there is privacy even though the cabins are directly across the road.
Also on our loop were sites 6, 8, 19, 21 and 23. These are gravel pads with electric, water and sewer hookups. Sites 6 and 8 have more sun exposure from noon until late afternoon. Sites 19,21 and 23 are more shaded. There is no vegetation between the sites for separation.
Sites 1 through 5 have electric and water hookups. These sites are in a grass field with full sun exposure. The sites border a small creek but there is vegetation along the banks of the creek, so I'm not sure that you have a view of the water.
There is a walking bridge over the Metolius River that leads from Cold Springs Report to the Metolius River Lodge. The Camp Sherman general store is just across the road from the Lodge.
Cold Springs Resort is an interesting mix of RV sites and rental cabins. The staff was friendly and the grounds are nicely maintained. There are free DVD movies that can be borrowed from the office. There is no AT&T cell phone signal. We will camp here again.
Mike and Holly would stay here again
