“Stayed while home shopping/buying”

Reviewed Dec 04, 2018

Overall Rating

We needed someplace reasonable to stay in the Florence/Muscle Shoals area and found this place. It was perfect for our needs. There are full hookups, showers, toilets and a storm shelter on site, with local access to groceries, fuel and propane nearby. There's also a free boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic tables, and a pavilion.

Rate is $20/night, $18 for seniors. $350 for a month which includes water, sewer and 30 or 50 amp power.

Enjoyed the hiking trails. Campground manager is friendly and helpful.

“Full hookups for fishermen or a stop-over”

Reviewed Mar 22, 2018

Overall Rating

Note: my rate reflects my senior discount - normal full-hookup rate is $20. You can’t reserve online, so you’ll have to call the manager.

We stopped here for a couple nights while driving down the Natchez Trace Parkway. The park manager was waiting for us when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. There were a number of semi-permanent people living there. Sites are very close together with no fire pits or anything else except the level asphalt pad, 30A electric, water and sewer hookups. No shade or privacy. Not suitable for family camping IMHO. The campground does have a free boat launch, a short hiking trail, pavilion and fishing pier. Several of the people were there specifically for the fishing. I didn’t fish, so can’t speak to that. My wife and I like more serene, woodsy settings, so this wasn’t our taste. Would stay here again if I wanted a night with FHUs while passing through the area.
