My wife and I have camped here quite a few times, but our primary reason is to visit her brother and sister-in-law who spend much of the year camped here and sometime serve as camp hosts. The brother and his wife thoroughly enjoy trotline fishing for catfish on the Tombigbee River, along which the campground is located.
Some of the sites are right along the river, some are along a small tributary streams, and the remainder are located well away from the water. Flooding in the spring of 2019 destroyed the concrete pads at some of the riverside sites, and as of our last visit there in August 2019, many of those sites were still closed.
We'd have no reason to visit this campground again if we weren't going to visit family. The entrance road to the campground is in very poor condition, only one of the riverfront sites has 50 amp service (the remainder have two 30 amp outlets at each site), and the campground is located many miles from the nearest main highway. The nearest town, Aliceville, has very limited services.
My rating for "Location" is from my perspective. However, if you're looking for a lightly used campground on a river far from the beaten path, you might rate it much higher.
The rating for "Noise" would be a five in such a remote area except that the military does some flight training overhead (nothing low level, though), and a nearby mill sometimes drones in the distance.
DrBob would stay here again
