“Nicest COE campground we have found so far!”

Reviewed Nov 12, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed in the Buffalo Grove Loop and had Electric and water. Our site 59 was one of the best in the park. Far enough away from your neighbors and a great lake view. The sites here in Buffalo Grove are huge. We didn't have any leveling troubles at all. It seems this loop is newly upgraded and the other loop with electric and water lo... more

“Spacious, quiet, clean, great free showers. ”

This is a great base for exploring Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. All the mod-cons including free, hot showers. The electric sites are widely spaced and smoothly paved, but not very level.

This Corps of Engineers park is located on Cochiti Tribal lands (so, no drinking in public). Our site was level but as far away from the lake as you could get. We had electric but no water/sewer. Note, the sites with water faucets seem to be oddly dispersed but, if you have 30-50' of hose, you can reach a faucet. Tent Rocks Nati... more

“Nice and easy access”

Reviewed Oct 11, 2018

The office staff was nice and easy to work with helped find a spot with electric. The campsite had small stairs built into the hill down to the picnic table. It was windy so we didn’t eat outside The site was narrow but worked fine and the electrical post was clean and worked perfectly. Nice stop after tent rocks visit. Very... more

Great huge sites many pull throughs. New covered cement table area at each. We arrived on a Monday and had both regular for $12 and electric sites for $20 available We get half price but I always post the cost without the pass. Kayaked in no wake lake, winds strong in the afternoon. Water muddy colored but there were people swimming ... more

“Nice location—close to ABQ/Santa Fe”

Reviewed Sep 13, 2018

Nice campground with W/E (30/50) in most spots. Some only have electric so beware when you reserve. Site 31 had only electric and COE says it has both; so best to call and make sure if water is needed. I usually stay at Tetilla Peak since it is always empty but took a shot at the west side of the lake for a change. Site 31 was an ... more

“Nice park if your in the right loop!”

Juniper loop must be the old park, it’s very run down, very limited water access and actually the water coming out of the few spigots that work were full of sediment. Price is with senior pass. Convenient stop on our annual sojourn North. Juniper loop has W/E on inside loop, outside loop is only E. Some sites require 75' water hose.
