There is a bit of a rut onto the forest road to where the campsites are, but I've seen worse. Lots of private property surrounding these sites and light traffic all day. There are signs prohibiting shooting within 150 yards of others; we heard some on several days that sounded closer than that. Middle Beaver Creek provides white noise and adds to the amazing views. Memorial weekend and all sites were full. It was a bit windy at times but nothing out of the ordinary. Picked up mostly rain wadded toilet paper around our site but otherwise it was pretty clean for a boondocking site, can't vouch for the others.

We drove in right at sunset and picked the first site on the left near the creek. Beautiful views and secluded enough to feel like you’re the only ones there.

If you approach from 67 south on Goldcamp road through the mountain road there is a tunnel that's 11 feet. 2. Inches. We are 12 ft 5 inches ! So we backed down a very narrow mountain road , at least a mile ,until could turn around! We got to within a 1/2 mile of camp! Big rigs beware!

This was an absolutely beautiful place. It has a few different spots to camp, little place to make fires when you can. Dog loved running the fields and playing in the creek. It’s relatively clean.. there were a lot of nails on the ground, we tried to pick up as many as we saw. It’s a long dirt road, pretty washboarded but doable. W... more

It’s a long dirt road, pretty washboarded but doable. We camped out here just fine in our class A, but it’s definitely not ideal for big rigs, especially if you’re picky. Not very level, but I generally don’t care.
Pretty far from town, but if you have a car, taking the rest of the road straight into Colorado Springs is suuuuper awesome. Better if you don’t have to go anywhere, the place is a little paradise in itself.

I've camped at this location 6-10 times. I've always stayed at the first set of sites (3-4 of them) straight out of the tunnel. This trip I explored a bit and found about 5 more sites! If you continue past the first set of sites and veer left at the fork in the road it leads you to the additional sites. There's a great one that's right next to the creek and more secluded from traffic.
There is some traffic. This is a popular place for Jeeping.
It's windy as hell sometimes so make sure you anchor everything down. There are plenty of large rocks to do so.
Lots of wood to choose from when we're not in a fire ban. Each site has a fire ring made out of rocks.
The road in is pretty smooth. Easily maneuvered even if you don't have 4x4. No animal life other than mice and groundsquirrels.
Amazing sunrises, sunsets and at night you can easily see the Milky Way.
I've never NOT been able to get a site here, but that may be due to it not being listed here in the past. Hopefully I didn't shoot myself in the foot by advertising this great spot.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow "Leave No Trace" principles.
My site was overrun with bullet casings, glass, aluminum, and bottle caps. These DO NOT MELT in fires.
The other sites were much more tidy.
