We had an easy FHU pull through gravel site, but closer to your neighbors than the State Park. Friendly office staff had good local suggestions.
Mostly seasonal sites, but several are kept available for overnight guests.
The campground is also the local access to a yacht club, docks, and boat launch, traffic can be brisk.

Others have talked about how close the sites are so I will just agree. But for 65.00 per night I would expect a better bathroom. It was closer to an outhouse. It was bug infested with mosquitoes and spiders. The location is good to be able to walk into town. Was on the route for where we are going next. Mid week so quiet.

We had a great stay here in early June 2020. The FHU + cable site we had was definitely expensive, but being able to walk across the street to the lake and into town made it worth it to us. The other reviews covered it quite well, so I won't ramble on anymore.

We are in a fairly tight pull-through, but it wasn't hard to get our 45' class A in there. We were able to park between the orange paint lines exactly, the left slides were exactly on the line and the awning was exactly on the right line. This is done so that there is a clear 10' fire lane between RV's. We had enough space to leave good clearance at the back for others and to still easily park our TOAD across the front of the RV. They have planted trees at the front between rows, they didn't obstruct the RV and they did help to make it a more interesting and shaded.
Location... Walmart is walking distance, so I was able to leave for 2 days on a business trip in the TOAD without leaving my wife stranded. The campsite doesn't have any open space, but the park across the road more than made up for that. The entrance to Watkins Glen State Park is right on the high street. The 1st mile is the most beautiful magical walk I have ever been on. That one single thing makes visiting Wakins Glen worthwhile. If you only have a day, stay overnight in the campground and do the walk early while its quiet. Then walk down the street to the ice cream store, they make their own :-)
I'm not a fan of being crowded with people, but after the weekend a lot of people moved on and it became a bit nicer. It 50A FHU and near great attractions, that makes it worthwhile despite the shortcomings. Oh and finally one of the relatively rare sites where our Sprint LTE hotspot was useful!

Location is the main draw for this RV Park. It is an easy walk to Walmart or into town, and across the street is a small park right on the Seneca Lake. We walked our dog there daily and he loved to get wet at the little beach. The RV park itself we found to be rather cramped and unattractive. It's basically rows of RVs on a grassy field with not much spacing between them (though we have definitely seen smaller sites elsewhere). They have lines spray painted on the grass and you need to park within those lines. Unfortunately for us, staying within the lines meant the front/side of our motorhome was smushed into the tree on our site. We had someone trim a few branches so we could open our door, but we couldn't open our awning at all. Our fire ring was all the way at the front of the site, right next to the road, which was strange. Most of the sites are occupied by semi-permanent trailers and fifth wheels (and a few mobile homes) that appear to get intermittent use (e.g. weekend visits). The WiFi worked decently during the day, and we had strong Verizon and AT&T for evenings and weekends. Given the high price ($55 daily or $47 weekly) we found that the "near town" location didn't make up for the averageness of the campsites/campground. If you really want to be walking distance from town and don't mind somewhat cramped sites, this may be a good option. The pizza place a few blocks away (Jerlando's) was excellent (be sure to get some garlic knots too), and the Chinese take-out (Lucky Star) in town was also good.
