Didn't realize site 51 is a handicap site, didn't see anything about that when we booked. East side has been completely redone, baths are clean and the hosts kept them neat. Not many trees and all the sites back up to roads or other sites. Will definitely be going back, not so much for the campground, but the waterfalls were beautiful. According to the rangers, the best time to see the waterfalls are winter and spring.

A really nice cg. A small cg. The east rim loop was open for the winter. This loop has been refurbished with new gravel and ties. The bh is very clean with hot showers. E/W at site. Limited 4g 1 bar. Does have laundry. A fantastic hike to the two waterfalls.

The sites are well-spaced, and lovely. Many hiking options right from the campground - and those hikes are all amazing! Bath house was clean and in good condition.

I arrived late and drove into the campground. I was met by the host who assigned site 21 because it was close to the bathroom. Loved it. Sites are spaced well apart. Bathroom is old but clean and heated, especially important since the morning temp was 34F. I checked out in the morning. Everyone was really nice.

Had a good time here. It is very close to Chattanooga. The scenery is very beautiful and there are a lot of good hiking trails. Some sites are very private, others are not at all. The best sites are 7,9,17,22 or 25 for privacy. Chattanooga is a nice town. Had a salt water float at Drift Float Spa. The owner is very nice there. She said that the best restaurant in town is Canyon Grill which is by the park. It was closed so we didn't get a chance to visit.

Nice facilities in a beautiful location. The sites are spaced well, although they are a little close. Our site was a tight fit with the slide out so we only had a foot to spare. The hike to the waterfalls are strenuous, but they are the high point of this park. There is a direct trail access from the west rim campground. It took a couple hours and lots of water, but A warm March day was the perfect time to see the falls. We have seen waterfalls all around the country, but these rates as two of the best. Good camp hosts and clean restrooms. Coming in to the park on route 136 is a bit of an adventure towing an RV, steep, twisty, and no guide rails.

This was our favorite park in 2021. We stayed at the East Rim campground that was very close to beautiful canyon overlooks and waterfall trails. The waterfall trails had hundreds of stairs to climb but had splendid views of the falls and rock formations. If you aren't into the miles of hiking hiking in the park, you can still reach stunning overlooks near the parking lot. The site we had was quiet, was spacious, was well spaced from other sites, was somewhat level, and had a gorgeous view of the woods surrounding the canyon. We saw deer each day foraging near the camp sites. The temperatures dipped into the upper 20's while we were there and the restrooms were warm and clean. The East Rim Campground dump station was a little short but we had no problem with our ~30' trailer. The West Rim has a double dump station with a longer runway. The park is close to many attractions in north Georgia, and Chattanooga, TN. We also took a day trip to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. The park offered a discount to us as Friends of Georgia State Parks members.

Best hiking in a state park we have seen. Western campground sites are level, shaded, spacious, and well separated from each other. Short trail to Western Rim Loop Trail, recognized as one of the best trails anywhere.

Stayed in West Rim Campground which is more wooded(shady) & scenic but hillier than East Rim. Nice playground & clean public baths. Our 7 yr old grandson enjoyed riding his bike around campground but no off-road bike trails that we found. Hiking trails near our site #21. Camp store well-stocked, $2 a bag & camp personnel friendly & helpful. FYI…McDonald’s right off Trenton exit has truck & trailer parking in rear.

This is our second stay here this year. We stayed on the west rim because it is more shaded and not so close together. The site was level and very private. The bathhouse was clean. There are lots of hikes to take right from the campground and several at the east rim. Can't wait to come back.
