Sites look good but how wide are they. We have a 28 ft travel trailer with a slide out. Will we fit in somewhere ?

Cloudcroft area and many excellent restaurants in CC. Brother in Law Barbecue is very good without the hours wait
experienced for Mad Jack Barbecue. We loved Kennabells bakery for pastries and croissants and .Cloudcroft
Brewpub for pizza....hard to find, also Knuckleweeds restaurant near La Luz, a village off
highway 82 is excellent but hard to find (Go through La Luz...do not follow Google which sends you down a dirt
road with a low water crossing and gates. Overall a good experience.
Poor: Highway 82, the road from Artesia to Cloudcroft to Alamogordo is just a few feet away and is noisy.
Going in either direction is twisty and hilly and going to Cloudcroft is especially twisty and hilly. The
Mexican Trestle is a few miles away toward Cloudcroft.
Site needs cleanup and weed removal and low branches cut. Site 7 is largest and most isolated but
with some view of mountains.

I am absolutely STUNNED by the positive reviews this place has. It is a DUMP!!! We literally drove into the parking lot. Went into the trailer to use the bathroom... and then headed back to Alamogordo. It was unkept. The landscaping was overgrown. The RV sites are right next to the road. There is no office at the "park". The whole place was totally run down. On our way out of Alamogordo heading to Carlsbad we drove past this place again. I thought maybe I had "mis-remembered"... but, nope. It was still awful. The gravel parking lot we stayed art in Alamogordo was so-o-o-o-o much better. I normally try to only leave good reviews... but I made an exception in this case because the place was so clearly a rundown mess... and the reviews were so misleading. AVOID this place like the plague. There are plenty of places in Alamogordo that will fit your needs MUCH better. Forewarned, is forearmed.

Small campground with full hookups. Would only recommend sites 5-7 for taller RV's (12'+) unless they trim their trees. Spots are very tight but okay for a night or 2. Easy to back in our 30' fifth wheel but there really wasn't any parking for the truck. Luckily, the spot next to us was open so we parked there. While we were setting up our water hookup we discovered their pipe was leaking pretty significantly. We filled out tank and turned off the water. I called the number provided and she said she could try and get someone out in the morning to fix it. I asked if I could get a refund for my second night if she wasn't able to get someone out. She said should would have to talk to the owners but couldn't guarantee it however, she would call me back in the morning with an update. By 10:30am the following day we had not received any update (and still haven't) on if the water would be fixed or if we could get a refund. We decided to leave since we didn't have full hookups that we were suppose to.
Noise is at a 3 star because it is very close to the road. During the day there is traffic but at night it is quiet

Overall, a great little campground! Quiet, friendly, a cool venue area to walk dogs or lounge in. You can have a fire and listen to the elk bugling at night. Wifi is super fast. The less good: It can be a little tight depending on your site. No bathrooms or showers. This place was also overrun with fox tail weeds during the summer, which is dangerous for dogs—we stayed in June and could barely let them out without them being covered, even growing through the gravel paths.

It’s a small park with friendly management and great view. The wi-fi worked well. Despite the park being adjacent to the road, it was quite at night and we enjoyed our stay. It’s close to the tresle park with great hiking.

We actually had reservations on the other side of white sands and it would add 2 hours to our trip. Everywhere in the little town was booked but we called here pretty late at night and they had a spot for us. Visited before Christmas and was a good 10 degrees colder but the owner waited up for us, set up lights and helped my husband back in. All hook ups are at the back so keep that in mind for hoses (our heated hose was too short so we just used our fresh water and filled up during the day). The drive is beautiful and so is the resort. The WiFi is the best of anywhere we’ve ever been! Could even stream! There is a super cute shop and restaurant just down the mountain a bit. Loved this place!

The road traffic can be a little noisy , but we didn’t mind or notice much except during busier hours like 7:30 am - when people were heading into the larger city for work. Sites were full hookup and relatively small- all back-in sites. We reserved last minute and my husband accidentally reserved the wrong nights. They just blocked out the correct nights and did not make us pay for the night we were not there, incredibly friendly. Area felt very safe. Loved the railroad and rustic theme. This place was just great. All pros- no cons from us! And as a bonus- we had AWESOME WiFi from our spot. Everything loaded super fast and no drops or anything. Service was hit or miss though and often dropped my calls.

Great site and great location with access to mountains and town. Friendly owners and well maintained. Very small site with only 8 (I think) spots. Easy access, back in only, with room to spread out.
