Great spot not too too far off the highway but far enough to be without the noise. Full bars cell service with Spectrum.

The road in is a bit intense and I would not recommend anything long at all. It is a steep windy road with some good drop offs. The site it self was very nice for a free spot with tables and pits, but I would not go in the water due to algae.
It was also incredibly smoky as there were multiple fires not far away when we were there (8/15/21).

Popular spot with good reason, really beautiful, spacious sites spread out around the pond. It was pretty busy when we arrived, so we moved a few times throughout the week and ended up a nice area right on the water. There's a path towards the middle of the loop that goes down to a super private site with awesome views. We had no problems maneuvering anywhere with a 34 foot travel trailer. Rangers patrol daily and sound does echo. My dog had a blast jumping in the water, but I don't think people swim. Lots of paddle boards and rafts. Come prepared with food, there is nothing around. Dry Creek store does have a few supplies and propane about 17 minutes away. You can fill up water at the ranger station. Verizon sig was perfect.

My husband and I work remotely and drove to work for the week here, based on the reports of great cell signal. Perhaps the recent wildfires took out a cell tower but we had zero signal on both T-Mobile or AT&T. Looks like a gorgeous place to enjoy Umpqua- just plan on being disconnected!

This spot was so beautiful and very private! We were here in January and were the only people camping here at that time. Be careful in the winter as it does snow here and the road is very steep.
A lot of beautiful hiking in the area as well!

This must be the most reviewed campsite I’ve stayed at on campendium. And for good reason. There are about ten flat campsites in a loop around a small pond. This must be the most reviewed campsite I’ve stayed at on campendium. And for good reason. There are about ten flat campsites in a loop around a small pond. Good cell reception, fire pits, picnic tables, & a vault toilet. At the back of the loop there is a site on the left with a pull through & one down a bit on the cliff. On the back right side of the loop is a short road down to a fenced in largish camp site on the cliff with a good view of the valley below. There are many waterfalls in the area with Toketee Falls giving a world class view. The road in off the highway is about two miles on a well maintained dirt road. The hill was steep & I slipped a bit with my 6500 lb trailer but made it just fine.

This place is best described as somewhere between dispersed camping and a state park campground. Beautiful wooded setting with semi developed campsites (picnic table, rock fire pits) but all dry camping. Close to Watson falls trailhead. Access road is long, poorly marked, and somewhat steep but our class b didn’t have any issues whatsoever. Turns seem wide enough for TTs and class A. Verizon service is great (4bars, 12.7down, 15.1up). AT&T service is non existent (zero bars). Buy groceries, gas, and firewood well before arrival.

The campground is wonderful and has spacious sites. It is right in the middle of all the Umpqua River has to offer. It didn’t receive 5-star rating due to other campers. As mentioned, many sites are huge which allows very large groups to congregate, which was the case this weekend. One site had well over a dozen tents and a handful of trailers, not in and of itself bad, however the road around the Forebay became a racetrack for the kids on atv’s and dirt bikes. Thankfully they did quiet down around 9 at night.
I will definitely go back during a less busy time of year.
