Few campers in the middle of the week. Sites are very close to each other, but being off-season, wed plenty of privacy. This is a pull thru site, however, in order to get the flat area you need to loop around and park from the other side, opposite from the site number entrance. A little bit noisy at night due to road traffic.

We were charged $35 - quite an increase from $22 the last time we were here. Pretty spot by the lake, pull-through. Electric connection is poor. We haven’t used the bathhouse so can’t speak to that.

What a shame there’s no pride or care given to the cleanliness & upkeep. This could be an absolute gem if given the time of day. We arrived at 3pm (2pm check in) to find our site had not been cleaned, fire pit was full of trash. At first just assumed it had been a late check out and called the office to send someone over. They did clean up after I insisted but continued to tell me they just drive by sites and didn’t notice anything. As the day went on and I continued to look around woods next to site I found lots of trash including a package of raw meat. I informed the office the next day but no one ever came back around. I noticed at least half a dozen other sites same thing with trash piled in fire pits. We checked in on a Monday and noticed they never came to clean up anything till Friday right before the weekend reservations. About half dozen fhu pull thrus were the only sites decent since they mostly seemed to have transient one or two nighters coming and going. The bathroom & laundry room same thing barely acceptable. What a great location near the interstate & lake tobesofkee. It goes to show not having a camp host and just municipal employees that there is no love given to this campground. What a shame it has so much potential. Just clean it up and do some maintenance.

Do not stay here! of course, if you’re good with dumping water to access your campsites water spigot, rude gate personnel, and tearing apart your waste hose to use the dump station, then this is a place for you! Tons of trash everywhere! We went to pay for a week, apparently they only charged us for one night, 4 days later the Sherriff shows up like we did something wrong! When they close at night, they only gate the entrance so anyone can come in or out the exit (which is parallel to the entrance) of the park. Most nights, random cars and tractor trailers come in after the gate personnel closes up, park and stay the night in campsite spots, then they’re gone first thing in the morning. If I have to come back to the area with my work again, I’ll make sure this is not where we stay! Also, who doesn’t take reservations on the weekend?!? This place!!! What a horrible experience!!!

Nice overnight spot, convenient to hwy 75. Some full hookups, some elec/water. On lake, fhu sites would be great for a longer stay especially if you have a boat. There are very few - if any - level spots, there are some pull through sites. We put down blocks on one side but were able to stay hitched up. Quiet.

We selected site 40 since it was FHU and a pull through. Site was not quite level but the hookups were conveniently located. Water was leaky at the spicket. We awoke to an unobstructed view of the lake which was nice. Only negative thing I can think of is that the house next to the campground had two dogs that roamed the park looking for scraps. They were cute and friendly but wicked beggars!

This is a small scenic lakeside campground located close to highway. All sites paved and close to level. There are 2 campgrounds on lake Tobesofkee, Claystone and Arrowhead.
